This is still a work in progress.
>>>>> Community Rules <<<<<
- Rule #1 - No Negativity or Anti-Spoofism: Rude comments, drama, harassing, racism or hateful words, targeting, or any other type of negativity, along with anti-spoofism, are strictly prohibited!
- At any given time, moderators have the right to lock/close your post to prevent harassment. Many people don't like this, but it saves us lots of time from not having to investigate and hand out 20+ permanent bans.
- Rule #2 - No Advertising, Buying, Selling, or Trading: Advertisements, giveaways, buying, selling, trading, and donations are not allowed! Giving away, buying, and selling accounts/Pokemon, and sharing cost is not allowed. Stream links, unrelated subreddits links are not allowed. (This is to avoid scammers and spam.)
- Rule #3 - No Asking for Help with a Gym or Raid: Asking for help with raids, taking down a gym, or knocking out your Pokemon is not allowed. No one wants to get stuck in some random location for 2 hours!!! These posts will be removed as spam. If you need help, you should consider joining a Discord group.
- Rule #4 - No Trading, Friending, or PvPing: With the exception of our Official Friend Code Post, all content regarding trading, friending, PvP, or trainer codes is explicitly prohibited! You are better off going to r/spoofertrades if you just want to trade!
- We understand people are upset about this rule being enforced here. This is like rule #6, this subreddit can easily be spammed by high number of these kind of posts. What about the people who are coming here asking how to spoof? No one will noticed them! This subreddit focus is mainly around spoofing. You don't need to spoof to trade, friend, or PvP, you can do all that without spoofing.
- Rule #5 - No Videos and Media Links: Youtube videos, and videos in general are not allowed, as they are most often self-promotion, or clickbait. Any useful information can be summarized in text. Exceptions may be made for useful information, but all video posts are subject to removal unless the post has been approved by a moderator.
- Rule #6 - No Picture/Screenshot Posts: Posting a post with any picture or screenshot will get automatically removed. 99% of these posts are really spam, which mostly consist of Shiny, 0-100% IV, Shadow, and/or Purified Pokemon. No one wants to see "Look at me, I got a Shiny 100 IV Pokemon" picture post. If your picture post is not spam, TastyBananaPeppers will approve your post, so it can be seen by everyone. You must include a Post Link in your Direct Message to me. Please be patience, I'm not on 24/7 to approve them right away. Click here for more details.
- Rule #7 - No Posting/Requesting of Any Pokemon Coords (Nests are still allowed): No Posting/Requesting any Pokemon coords due to the high number of complaints and trolls posting fake coords. People also do not understand that Pokemon can despawn, so they harass the person who posted it. As a mod, we do not have the time to verify posted coords.
- Rule #8 - Example of Spam Post that will be removed:
- Read link: Why are my posts automatically removed?
- Pokemon screenshots (shiny, 0-100 IV, shadow, collections, etc.)
- Youtube & videos (requires mod approval)
- Rare & Regional Coord requests
- Posting any Pokemon coords (Nests are still allowed)
- Requesting Nest of Rare Pokemon that do not nest.
- Team Rocket coords
- Raid & Gym help including Weather Boosted Raids
- Trading
- Friending
- PvP Battles
- Giveaways
- Selling & Buying: accounts, Pokemon, and services.
- Sharing iSpoofer cost/code (People are scamming for $1 to $5.)
- Posting your Discord invite link in everyone's post.
>>>>> Frequently Asked Questions <<<<<
- Why do people spoof?
- It is a combination of these: Time, Money, Safety, Location, Weather, Health, and/or "You want to take some risks." These are general main points of why everyone spoofs.
- You are welcome to post your life story but remember your post will be closed to prevent people from harassing you and other people starting a flame war.
- Where do people spoof?
- Anywhere you want to go! It is recommended you go to popular big cities because they have the most PokeStops and Gyms. They also have the most active players to help you get full lobbies for raid battles.
- Can I get banned for spoofing?
- Short answer is yes.
- GPS spoofing breaches Terms of Service, so it means you are a cheater, I am a cheater, and we are all cheaters!
- Long answer is not right away but depends on your situation.
- If you have received one or multiple Red Warnings before they implemented the 3 strikes system, the next time you receive a Red Warning, it could be either your 2nd strike (30 day temporary ban) or 3rd strike (account termination/permanently banned). I am not Niantic and cannot tell you if your account is clean or you have had over 30 Red Warnings since 2017. You can contact Niantic's Customer Service team by clicking here.
- If you have never received a Red Warning or just started spoofing, they do not terminate/ban your account right away. You are put on the "3 strikes" system. My advice is to avoid the 1st strike/Red Warning at all cost. Once your account has the 1st strike, you either be very careful or go legit forever on that account. If they detect anything suspicious, you may be given a 2nd or even a 3rd strike. I have read posts where people claim they were extra careful and still got their 2nd and 3rd strike one after the other.
- Short answer is yes.
- 3 Strikes policy:
- 1st strike - Warning (also known as "RW" short for Red Warning)
- 7 day shadowban: no rare Pokemon spawns and cannot do EX Raid
- Google Image search "pokemon go red warning" to see a screenshot of the Red Warning.
- 2nd strike - Suspension
- 30 day temporary ban
- If you try to log in, you will get a message saying your account is suspended.
- You wait 30 days, and then you can play again.
- 3rd strike - Account Termination (Permanently banned)
- If you receive the first and second strikes and continue to be careless, your account will be permanently banned.
- 1st strike - Warning (also known as "RW" short for Red Warning)
- How do I avoid getting a strike?
- Following the cooldown chart or just wait 2 hours (plus a few minutes more).
- Link: What triggers a cooldown?
- Link: Cooldown Chart
- My tip is you should write down on a piece of paper when you stop playing the game. For example, if I stop at 4:00 PM, I write down 4:00 PM. Later when it is 6:00 PM (or at 6:03 PM to be extra safe; waiting a few more minutes is not going to harm you), I can teleport or snipe. Let say I forgot to write it down or thought I could remember it, I write down the current time then I wait +2 hours more before I teleport or snipe.
- Simple answer: If you don't know, you should just wait 2 hours and 3 minutes.
- Following the cooldown chart or just wait 2 hours (plus a few minutes more).
- All about EX Raid:
- What time do I go?
- You go to the raid based on your device's time. The country's timezone has already been converted for you.
- Some opposite countries raid will be anywhere from 12 PM (midnight) to 6 AM (early morning).
- Example: If you live in the USA and your Ex Raid is in Europe, your raid could be at 3 AM in the morning.
- Where do I find the Ex Gym?
- Open EX RAID PASS > Press on "Get Directions" > Google Maps or whatever map app will show you where the gym is located.
- How do I get EX Raid pass?
- What time do I go?

- Primarily for old devices running Android 5.0 to 7.0.
- Some Android 8.0 devices can use this method but not Android 8.1 and 9.0. You would have to try it to know.
- Original sticky guide: Spoofing on all Android devices, regardless of Android version and google play services version
- These 3 guides below are step-by-step and are very long posts:
- Link: Compatible Android Phones Guide for Smali Patcher & Systemized Spoofing methods This is a general informational guide on how to do the research and find out if you can unlock the bootloader to flash TWRP custom recovery to set up one of the spoofing methods below. Not all phones require root but rooting the phone will make it easier on you if you need it. This is not the same as No Root Android because you can use the latest Google Play Services in other words, you do not need to bother with downgrading Google Play Services.
- Link: Smali Patcher Guide for Android phones [Recommended method]
- Do this one 1st because it is easier and does not require tin foil.
- Link: Sytemized Guide for Android phones [Alternative method]
- Do this 2nd if Smali Patcher does not work on your phone.
- Will require tin foil to block GPS signal to stop the rubberbanding problem.
- This one can be used with SuperSu / Chainfire root with additional steps.
- If you do not want to read or find them very difficult, you should buy an iPhone SE or 6S (or higher) to spoof.
