What is your favorite car?
And why is it the Alpine Renault A110 1600 S?

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI
If I were only allowed to drive one car in the game, this would be it
Fiesta R5
Second that
Touche.
Didn't think to see it this high here. Currently driving it in the Pro series and I love it!
Lancia 037. Feel very nice when got it right yet not easy.
BMW E30 M3, Fiesta R2, Skoda Fabia R5 and I guess the NR4/R4 Evo since I seem to pick it a lot and do very well with it.
God do I love the E30 M3 but I may be biased due to my adoration of BMWs in general
Ah good to see we have some other men of culture here.
guys this was supposed to be a shitpoast
Post more shittily, next time
Fiat 131 scnr
M1 Procar just for the sound, i suck at driving it.
Try drinking it in New Zealand. I find this combination is amazing.
NZ's great for getting your bearings in this game. Someone suggested it to me a while back, and I drilled it for ages, until I finally felt competent.
How many pints?
The sound is big nut
Alpine is very stylish and handles really nice, but my vote goes to Porsche 911. It's so satisfying to drive and looks sexy as hell
SC RS or GT3?
GT3, although both 911s are beautiful and very challenging to drive.
I can't deal with its tail whipping tendencies cuz I like making fine adjustments and that fucked me over
Yes
s1 quattro and escort mk2
2001 Subaru Impreza
Śkoda Fabia both R5 and WRC
Citroen C4.
Absolute fucking nutter of a car, it's the fastest 2000cc car, has the total ease of driving that all the R5 cars have, and maintains overall pace that's so similar to Group B.
I didn’t like it at all in DR1 but had considered downloading it along with the Fabia and ‘08 Impreza.
How does the handling compare to the ‘01 Impreza and Lancer Evo VI? Those are the easiest to drive fast imo in this game.
It's got much less understeer than in DR1, and depending on the differential tuning (front, center, rear) you can get it to be relatively neutral upon full throttle and it will kick out on low speed for rotations. The suspension is R5 levels of advanced unlike the two Group A cars you mention and there's next to no turbo lag down low.
The easiest way to think of it is an R5 car with extra differentials and power. Very forgiving to drive, but not the most exciting.
Sorry to hijack this but... can you explain a bit more about differential tuning?
I have played a lot of dirt 1.0 but never really bothered with tuning the cars, which I now find difficult to do in 2.0. How does the differential affect the car? I’m driving mostly RWD if it matters.
Sure! A stronger differential means that the two wheels will want to rotate at the same speed under throttle. A looser differential means that there's more wheel independence, or that each wheel is free to move at completely different speeds.
What this means is that a stronger differential has better straight line traction because both wheels will want to rotate at the same speed. Power gets transmitted to the path of least resistance, so in the event that one wheel starts slipping in a fully open differential all the power will go to the wheel with no grip. Differential lock means that some power will be transferred to the wheel that has grip, which will move you forward.
A stronger differential on the front means that your car will want to understeer at full throttle, since there's less wheel independence (remember, wheels travel at different speeds when turning) and the wheels will want to pull the car into a straight line. A stronger differential on the rear means that the car will want to oversteer, since it will want to push in a straight line which means the rear end will swing out as it 'loses' grip as it begins to rotate. Balance the differentials to get vehicle handling that matches your driving style.
Had to scroll way to long for this awnser
BMW M1, an absolute beast to drive, love it
and the sound is glorious
Citroen c3 r5
Easily the E30 M3
I'm really liking the Ford RS200 I used to use the polo but I've been converted to that
It feels like the only Group B car that doesn’t want to kill every time you attempt a stage
Fabia R5, tho the 1995 Impreza will always have a special place in my heart
This changes a lot. Currently it is the Lancer Evo X - I have recently discovered how sweetly that thing handles, before that I was obsessed with the Opel Adam, before that the 2001 Impreza WRC and for a while before that it was the Escort RS Cosworth
Yeap i agree. Half of the cars were my favourite at some point. Right now it's the Fabia R5..
Yep, the same for me. Right now it's the Fabia 2000cc.
Audi Quattro S1 E2 💛
Lancia Delta S4 and Lancia Stratos
1995 Subaru Impreza
Indeed. I got a fever, and the only prescription is... more Impreza.
What is it about them? Is it just the Colin McRae effect, or are you too young for that?
I'm old enough to know that
