He's lucky he wasn't charged with sedition or treason.

Threatening to kill elected officials is actually a really big deal.

He really thought he could just issue these threats and get away without notice.

Thank goodness for parler, I hate to say. This guy never would have been caught unless he felt he could get away with his threats. That, and they make copies of the guy's id.

These traitors need to be rounded up by the FBI and treated like the domestic terrorists they are. There’s no way you can say crazy shit, incite violence and yell fire in a crowded theater. Free speech doesn’t mean consequence free.

92
LCSpartan•

The more I think about it there is no way Parler is not an FBI honeypot...

53
[deleted]•

Are honey pots supposed to catch n release with NO real consequence?

I think we want to believe the FBI will do something bc we are too stressed to report it ourselves.

29
techleopard•

A lot of what is posted on Parler is just rabble-rousing.

Until someone says, "Hey Jim, we're going to meet at 9PM at THE PLACE and we're going to hang the mayor!", it's really hard to call it prosecutable. Even then, authorities are more likely to wait at 'the place' to see if anyone actually shows up or not.

We can all read the crap they post and see it for the threat that it is, but the FBI wants stuff that will stick.

23
rob-in-hoodie•

I don’t think the feebees care.

I want to think they do but considering that they’re letting so many extremists free to spread their filth online, not to mention letting Trump and his offspring get away with everything, it’s really hard to believe.

6
0xD153A53•

Well, considering the Cheeto-in-Chief cut funding to the FBI to investigate domestic terror groups, I'm sure the FBI is doing all they can with what they've got.

6
Kahzgul•

It’s not. It’s funded by the Mercers.

3
Edocelot•

I don’t know how it is there but here (Spain)if you have a nazi meeting the cops are there. To arrest them? Nope, to walk them and make sure they are secured.

Then you have a manisfestation about... I don’t know, about any kind of human rights. Do you think the cops are here to secured you? Nah, if they can they’re gonna charge. You can trust the cops in order to make something against nazis/fascist, they’re just gonna exit the back door.

6
LotusSloth•

Well, free speech is really supposed to mean “you will not be jailed for what you say.” But there’s an implicit understanding that you can’t incite violence and get away with it.

But free speech almost literally means “say what you want and don’t go to jail for it.” It exists because many other nations, even allied nations, can and do jail people for speaking out against their government.

2
d34dp0071•

What they are doing is conspiring to violently overthrow the government of the United States. That is a serious crime.

They do need to be rounded up or some of them will commit mass terrorism.

They are our homegrown terrorists intent on mass murder and overthrow of the government to bring about a fascist regime.

1
Comments_Wyoming•

I hope some agency can trace back the IP address used to make those posts since he is lying and saying his account was "hacked".

This is is hopefully quite screwed.

26
PorkTORNADO•

Weird how the supposed hacker mentions he's been a police officer for 15 years and Aaron Hoffman has been a police officer for...15 years.

Oops.

20
BettyBloodfart•

What are the chances he and his hacker have both been police officers for the same number of years?!

I wonder if it’s someone he went police academy with? They should really look into that.

9
Masterfactor•

Notice he didn't criticize the content that was posted on his "hacked" account...

5
d34dp0071•

Probably parler has records. (I say as a comp sec guy who has worked at a telecom).

1
techleopard•

It's curious how the extreme right's view of liberalism has rapidly morphed.

At first, it was liberals = socialists = communists.

Now it's literally all government = liberals = socialists = communists.

They are so angry but the majority of government is right-wing, right down to local town mayors.

They can hide behind that "Patriot libertarian" label all they want, but what they are are seditious anarchists.

18
2randy•

Theyre not anarchist, its seditious fascism

21
techleopard•

The GOP in power are fascists.

The voters are anarchists. They want some weird fantastical Jericho-inspired post-apocalyptic utopia, I swear.

6
2randy•

Still not 'anarchist' by any means. They (anarchists) beleive in the abolition of all government and the organization of society on a voluntary, cooperative basis without recourse to force or compulsion. It doesnt matter if its from an oppressive state, military, or random dick, this parler crap is abhorrent to anarchists. Anarchists dont even really want power

8
teufels4hunde•

But masks are to much of a burden, yet these Rambo wannabes think they are the ultimate baddass soldiers.

6
DanCassell•

The people who voted for Hitler were basically the same. Weird how that works.

2
NeverLookBothWays•

Well they’re not technically wrong...yet they likely do not understand how. The current state of Republicanism is essentially neoliberal. Liberalism is a right wing ideology. Anywhere outside of the U.S. will recognize and call it what it is.

Only inside our borders liberalism has been twisted to mean left wing. It’s bizarre and somewhat surreal the swap out has been as successful as it has been.

We can all agree they are seditious, and that is a crime.

1
TerriFlamingo•

I reported him to the FBI in detail during a 35 minute phone call.

10
DanCassell•

I would be deeply interested to know if anything comes of this because right now my faith that the FBI cares about white terrorism is 0% and my outlook on life would drastically improve if I were to believe otherwise.

5
0xD153A53•

Why would you think policing in America is anything but reactionary?

I'd expect them to do nothing until a major crime is committed. It's not like it's their job to prevent crime, but rather to catch criminals.

6
DanCassell•

When filling out quotas its always easier to fill prisons with inner city minorities I know. Its just I wish that even one of the institutions founded on a mission statement about protecting America had America's best interests in mind. It would be idealistic to imagine all of them would, but I want just one, so I can at least fantasize about the system being fixable. Looks like I don't even get that.

2
d34dp0071•

Good job. Thanks for doing that.

I posted on three of these guys here over the past few days. Spent about five hours digging through parler.

I have worked with the government before, amateurs can be a very valuable asset.

Hopefully, they are on top of things. They are aware of the mass radicalization of the Republican party and the threat this poses to the US.

Feel free to dm me if you need any help.

I may start to report these guys, but right now, I am leaving that to others.

2
TerriFlamingo•

Me too with the govt, as a contractor. Yes. We should DM. I'm scared to go on Parler but I have no trouble reporting. We could work together! 😊🌷

2
d34dp0071•

You can seach parler from google, like so:

"parler.com/comment" OR "parler.com/post" site:parler.com

Google that.

You can search by adding in a keyword or keyphrase. Append phrases with quotes.

Any link you follow will expose your IP address to them, but you won't be in their system so they are unlikely to be able to follow you like they can users.

I have two decades of experience in computer security, so I know the ins and outs of these things.

I think the most dangerous posters on parler won't speak openly on violence because they know that will put them in the crosshairs of the feds. But your lone wolf will speak openly on violence and, historically, they have done a lot of damage.

Feel free to message me at anytime. You could really do some good and get more involved with this.

I contracted for the AF briefly and worked as an "access agent" for CIA for a few years. I have worked in telecommunications infrastructure. And worked on software the DoD used for security.

Personally, I am very concerned about the hyper-radicalization of the Republican party which has taken place. I believe that makes a factory for terrorism and violence.

2

I don’t think any of us should stop until charges are brought to these fuckers

2
d34dp0071•

I can't control charges, but I am sticking to this. I am using my skills as a comp sec researcher to hunt these clowns down and expose them on here.

Idk how much I will do, but right now it is pretty fun.

1
dustinBKK•

His excuse is classic.

He opened the account, didn’t post those messages, and closed when he noticed a suspicious email.

Ah yes, of course it wasn’t you doing it. Whenever you get caught, just go with the good ole my account was hacked.

IP address goes back to his house, “wasn’t me”. You live alone, “wasn’t me”. We have you on home security footage typing the message, “wasn’t me”.

14

Today I learned that I can threaten to kill people and avoid all legal consequences by claiming "it wasn't me!" when I'm caught.

Thanks for setting that example for the public, Mr. Policeman!!!

29
madboy633•

Absolutely. I’m surprised he hasn’t acted on those thoughts yet. Being law enforcement, he could easily have done so much damage. Definitely a domestic terrorist. He needs to have his firearms removed from his home

13
Vericatov•

Wow, I know a lot of threats about taking out liberals and starting a civil war are mainly posted by either trolls, foreign and domestic, or by people that are just empty threats, but their are some I feel just might follow through with it. I feel we’re going to see some crazy Trump supporters like this actually take action in the near future.

Was this the cop who was trying to be a country singer? He had a stage name that was somehow linked to the Parler account.

Yes it's the same person.

Hahaha! Damn that was fast. I think we all knew he was gonna get fired when we read the tweets from the woman who figured it out.
