Moving to Indy from Kansas City in a week to be closer to the girlfriend.
Does this mean I have to root for the Colts now? :(

Absolutely not but you do have to root for the Pacers.
This is the answer.
No. But the Pacers is another story.
No, but you do have to root for the Indy 11. Check out Virginia avenue. It's great.
Hey sir, I moved from KC here to Indy last March. You’ll like how much closer everything is together, no taking an hour road trip just to get to another part of town. You’ll be let down by the food, KC has fantastic food choices and not just because of BBQ (which I haven’t found any that even compare slightly here). Weather is so much better, at least in the year and some I’ve been here, you can actually go outside in the summer without immediately sweating. Downtown is much more of a big city downtown feel and more to do.
Old Gold BBQ at Metazoa - it's Texas style (I believe), but the only thing in the city I've had at the quality level you get in places like KC.
Texas style
I’ve heard that, I need to give it a shot
Also there are plenty of Arby’s here, which you may or may not get depending on your activity in r/kansascity
Don't forget White Castle!
Hitting up Arby’s the moment I’m unpacked, they have the meats after all. I’m also bringing Crooked Eye Cree to Indy with me, he can live under the White River bridge near the zoo
I’m curious where you’re eating. Indy has some awesome restaurants
It’s pretty well known that it lacks in that department, on a “unpopular opinion about Indy” thread me stating that was one of the top voted comments. Compared to other big cities the quality of a wide variety of food is on the lower end.
You got at least one fellow Chiefs fan here already. Welcome to Indy!
Make it two. Where's the watch party going to be?
I'm just gonna say I've lived here for 13 years and I don't know anything about [sportball].
Dickerson. Faulk. The Edge.
And The Innovator of the Modern QB, Peyton.
There’s something here to love.
Herd of goats
My boyfriend is a transplant from Wisconsin. He is loyal to the Packers, Bucks & Brewers. He's been here since 2006 & seems to fit right in. We support the Colts, Pacers & Indians when Wisconsin isn't playing.
You'll have plenty to do & your Kansas City gear will be a good conversation starter.

I don't know if you're attached to Kansas-style Mexican food like my Kansas City business partner, it is getting closer to Indianapolis with Taco Tico. They now have franchises in Louisville and Terre Haute.
Good luck.
Yesssssss bring it with the Taco Tico love. I need to make another trip to Louisville.
It's amazing how taco sauce on the level with spicy Ortega can give you comfort.
I grew up in Philly and lived in Boston for 14 years. My first and last Super Bowls in town were 2004 and 2017 (so 2005/2018). It was an interesting time for me. Never switched my support.
(Obviously I cannot support the Colts this season even if I usually half support them/hope they win.)
Also don’t do it. KC is not any better, but at least you are already there. I am sure there are girls there.

As long as you hate the Patriots you’ll fit right in
As a huge Bills fan, can confirm. People love me because we hate the pats even more. Now if we keep beating the Colts in the playoffs, things might change.
