[3469] Echoes of the Ages (Chapter 1)
This is the first chapter of a (currently mid-revisions) 120k word adult, dark, epic fantasy.
I put up my prologue for review a week ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/DestructiveReaders/comments/paed5n/1382_echoes_of_the_ages/) and learned LOTS from everyone kind enough to comment -- thanks again. To summarize (I think), my main problems were overwriting, passive voice and flowery/redundant adjectives/adverbs. I fielded those critiques before starting my editing of Chapter 1 over the weekend, so my hope is that this will be more 'cleaned up' in those regards than my prologue was.
