PSA: Beware & Report & Don't fall for these "Free Readings"
Starting in September 2021, they has been a HUGE uptick in spam being targeted in this group. The volume has been so large, even Reddit Corporate contacted us making sure we're okay. Most of some variants of "Free Readings - Type ME to get it" etc. Most are bots, do telling them to bugger off isn't going to do anything or hurt any feelings. Just report, downvote, say "SCAM" in the comments and move on.
Yes, these are all scams trying to get around spam filters. It blows my mind that if we don't catch these in a few hours there are dozens of people saying "Me!" in the comments. In life, and in reddit, everyone needs to learn how to "Vet" information, to see if it's genuine or not:
#How to Vet (verb, how to carefully examine beforehand.):
All these are red flags:
- Are they a BRAND NEW USER?
- Are they offering something for "free"?
- Are they using Link Shorteners? (tinyurl, bit.ly)
- Look at their comment history, are they pasting the exact same phrase over and over again?
- Is the link they are directing you, asking for your email?
- Can you tell if it's an affiliate link? (eg URL.../ID123456, URL..../123456, URL..../?aid123456)
Anything with ClickBank, Digistore, in the URL is a scam.

Ty, there’s a lot of boomers on this sub that don’t seem to understand that you shouldn’t trust everything you see on the internet
