Very cool. Would look mint with a breadbox exhaust to show off that pretty wheel.
That exhaust is a CHUNKER :/
Dude, the exhaust under my old Oilhead is a clunker.
True, but when you've seen one wheel you've seen em all.
Fair. Sweetheart of a ride either way. Enjoy!
Ya if they had given it just a tad more suspension travel it would be my ideal bike. Love it.
Looks awesome, have you taken it on dirt roads yet?
I've got an R1200GS and it's crazy to me how similar and how different our bikes are.
I'd really miss the centerstand and the wind protection but understand I'd be gaining a lot in the process.
It's amazing however how close these machines are to some kind of perfection.
Just put some knobbies and a skid plate on it, and you'll be fine.
I love them too. BMW style dept knows what it is doing
Its a unique bike and there's nothing in the modern lineup that's as raw of a boxer as the original urban G/S. Wish it had a larger tank and better suspension, but those are minor quibbles.
Is it an RnineT GS trim? I'm not familiar with this bike.
Yes.
Best bike I've ever owned
How do you have your pelican case mounted? A rack that replaces your pillion seat? It looks great.
Genuinely the purest form of a boxer twin that you'll ever get
I've got friends that would argue that point on a /5 or /6 without all the oil cooler stuff.
To which I'd counter with a /2 or earlier, though I would support their argument, the newer oil cooler bikes just run better in all conditions.
I guess it's an idealogical vs pragmatic distinction
I'm hardly a purist. I think the hexhead was just about the perfect bike but I had 3 of them. The LC and all the suspension tech and drive modes are probably so amazing but I like to do everything on my bikes. Add ohlins to a hexhead and rock and roll. But you know any bike is good, do t wanna sound all old man! Old bikes rock too but losing final drive or some gasket on day 4 in Siberia or whatever makes old bikes a bit worrisome for me on trips.
