Hi,

This is a bit of an odd question - but I'm new to the EV space.

I'm on EON Next Pledge tracker dual fuel tariff due to end mid August. Then it would switch automatically to a Variable Tariff.

My EV and EV charger will arrive around mid September.

Would it make sense to switch to EDF's Go Electric in mid August just before my usual tariff ends?

And with these EV tariffs do U specifically have to use the EV charger during the off peak (as in do they specifically measure the EV charger being used?)

Or would it be better to just switch to an EV tariff once the car and charger are installed?

Anyone used PodPoint? Waiting for 2 weeks after uploading initial photos

Hey!

I've ordered a Pod Point Solo 3S through my workplace salary sacrifice scheme.

Made the order 2 weeks ago on the Pod Point site and sent the pics of what my fuse board etc looked like on the same day.

They sent an email saying they'll contact me to arrange the site visit and that it usually takes up to 5 working days.

I called them last week since nobody contacted me - they said a Project Manager will call you.

I called them again today as it's been 2 weeks and they just said sorry and to wait.

Am I being too annoying by calling every week to ask for when they'll come to survey the area? I understand it ta

Hi everyone,

My apologies in advance if these questions have already been answered.

Been considering getting an EV and thought what to do about home charging as that would be the cheapest option to install a home charger.

Saw some videos on YouTube and I'm not exactly sure what to do.

Would you recommend a granny charger or a wall box or using a smart cable on a commando 32A socket?

And would these commando socket installs be cheaper than installing a wall box?

And if you move home then do u just leave the charger be?

Apologies for the stupid questions - it's my first time and just trying to figure out the whole home charging scenario before I eventually purchase an EV. I'm looking a

Sorry if the question is stupid, I'm new to the country so I don't fully understand how energy switches work in the UK.

Apologies if I've posted in the wrong sub - please direct me.

So I moved into a property 2 weeks ago. The old tenant used Octopus Flexible. I called Octopus told them my move in date and started the Octopus Flexible. My first bill will be taken on 19 September via Direct Debit.

Today I got the email about price cap price rising. A friend gave a referral to an E.ON next pledge tracker- so I thought I'll switch to that - but would I need to wait till after my Octopus bill goes through on 19 September? Or is there an option on E.ON where u can apply to switch on a specific
