Been watching some people play on YouTube and one guy keeps doing this sim where he lets the AI play and he’s got a vantage point like he’s in the box. Does anyone know how to do that? I don’t want to just super sim sometimes, I’d like to watch the actual play.

Hi all, is there anywhere that you would recommend that has a reliable breakdown of world war statistics like artillery shells fired per day or during an offensive or replacement class sizes, injuries to missing to killed ratios per year, etc. Both for world war 1 and 2.

RKMT vs LKMT

Discussion

Folks, it’s the debate that’s been raging in every KR China fan’s head since the China patch revolutionised (get it?) the old content - what would a right wing KMT look like in the decades following China unification? What about the left KMT? What would people’s standard of living be like? Who would come closer to fulfilling Sun Yat Sen’s dreams?

For starters, let’s assume the “most common” paths of Li Zongren RKMT and Wang Jingwei’s LKMT.

I’m getting back into EU4 after being more into Stellaris, HoI and CK3 for years. I want to play a non-European nation. Who are your favourites?

I’ve tried to play ardabil a few times today and just gotten creamed.

Been playing as Germany and the Dutch flipped to Batavian and immediately went third internationale. I got the option to invade but that’ll cause a war with France. I’d rather not start the war this early but was thinking…what plausible reason could Germany have for not invading? I really can’t think of one.

The Netherlands is not only in mitteleuropa and a fellow, friendly monarchy, but without them the military plans and doctrine Germany’s had for twenty years go out the window.

Thoughts? I think Germany should have the option to invade the Batavian commune before they join the 3I if it’s early on. Or maybe change it so the Dutch have the option to flip later if the war goes poorly f

Windows 10s

Windows: Scrivener 3

Hi all, I’m planning on getting a Microsoft Surface Go (not Pro) 2 soon so I can write while out of the house - before I do, I want to make sure Scrivener works on Windows 10s as that’s the op sys. I’ve searched but can’t find confirmation that scrivener 3 works on 10s.

Anyone able to confirm or deny?

Thanks!

When mittelafrika explodes there always seems to be an Ostafrika nation led by an ethnic African that keeps the name Ostafrika and he even wears a German uniform.

Is there any lore behind this? Is the dude just very Germanised or is he like a germanophile or something?

In my current play through I’ve got two nuclear reactors and as I understand it I’m supposed to get a symbol in my top bar showing the stockpile and build time. However, this icon is conspicuously missing.

Did the latest patches change where nuke building progress is shown? I’ve got no clue how to find how many bombs I have!

Thanks

I'm playing a game of Kaiserreich as New England. Unfortunately every territory I 'liberate' west of the Appalachians goes to the Pacific States. Not sure why, perhaps because the Canadian government elected to support the Pac States (though they're not in the Entente). This is messing up my supply in these territories as the supply hubs don't connect to the Pacific States capital which is all the way over in Sacramento. I can't seem to ask control of these states - I'm still a puppet of Canada but hope to break free as soon as the civil war is over.

Any ideas on how I can transfer ownership of the provinces going to the PSA to myself? Here's a screen grab of my situation - as

Had an absolute blast playing this game.

Drove my best bud to suicide. Purged the old guard. Radical centralism. Won a war. Lost the attempt to reform constitution. Drove the economy into the dirt. Somehow won re-elections. Caused my son to get PTSD. Fuck Soll!

I hope the team behind this game does a sequel or some new game similar but an evolution on this one. Was really sucked in for the 15 hours my campaign took. I felt exhausted by disappointing so many but couldn’t stop as the story sucked me in so organically.

Great job devs. Loved every minute of this.

Hello fellow Kaiserreichers,

Is there any news on a possible German focus tree expansion or re-work on the horizon? Having just finished a campaign with the supposed flagship nation of the mod, I felt like there was much more room for Weltkrieg and Post-Weltkrieg events and focuses, especially when compared to the newer trees like National France or the US Reconstruction.

I’m very well read when it comes to European, American and East Asian history, but one big blank spot for me is the post-Mohammad Middle East. I’ve heard of the big players: the fatamids, umayyads, mamluks, ottomans, etc and know some basic facts on them, but little else. I recently listened to a fascinating episode on the Safavids on the Tides of History podcast and it got me very interested in Iranian, North African and Middle Eastern history post 600s.

Any good intro texts or in depth dives to this particular part of the world and culture/society folks here could recommend?
