Repost from r/grindr but it got auto-flagged and I assume mods won’t fix it.

You’ve seen these bots pop up, they use pics of women, give out location nearby, have automatic responses, tap literally everyone (I had two profiles, a legit profile and a blank anon one). So for kicks I was messaging dumb shit to a new one and I got banned. As in my phone number was banned so I can’t even make a new account with another email.

Thanks to u/grindrofficial for getting a response from Grindr but their response sucks: I got banned for sp@m. And they replied twice now saying they won’t revoke it. And that’s from having u/grindrofficial help me, my own appeals before were not answered.

Nothing to add. Seeing how few people look at my grindr profile with face pic in my small town genuinely makes me wish I was either straight, asexual or just flat out dead.

Seriously, one profile had a pic I’ve never used anywhere. Same email(s), same IP address same phone number for verification, yet my only profile that I’ve just made not even a day ago is still up and I’ve no pics on it. Is POF just banning ugly people or what’s the deal

The distancing in general I love it. Staying the fuck away from people in public? I was already doing that pre-covid. Keeping myself safe by hiding half my face? LOVE IT. I’m totally ok with the new “fuck off” normal in public. Going back to work? It blows, in particular because of all the new health guidelines, but that can be said for lots of people.

But FFFUUUCCCKKK I’m so goddamn horny and frustrated. How do you make a 4 month dry spell worse? Throw in a 3 month extension thx to a pandemic. L

Ah glad to be back. Th This is totally hypocritical because I’m guilty of not just being a troll too but answering trolls too. But at least I’m consistent in what posts and users cause me to be a dick (plus that one troll put far far more effort into answering my replies) rather than give a genuine answer, but anyway

Have you considered like totally ignoring obvious trolls instead of reporting and giving his posts any sort of fucking attention?

It’s frustrating scrolling through and seeing not just the post titles but the fact that they get like what, 20 responses? I actually answer some of the stuff on this sub but it’s so fucking overrun with repeated dumb-fuck questions and obvious trol

I’m perfectly aware I may be totally paranoid here and yeah I should go see a doctor. I’m a fairly sexually active gay man, and I’ve already had a few STI experiences, so go figure I’d catch scabies.

Fuck Box Office Mojo now. I found it pretty helpful since it listed upcoming wide releases and how many theatres/screens it was estimated to be released in, and now the updated interface doesn’t have that info. I prefer going to see movies as late as it’s playing near me, and the screen count helps me guess what movies my theater might get, and what films might leave as a result.
