Early last year I left my job as Head of Engineering at a stock advisory startup (scaled to 5Mn users) where I was employee #1 to go build an AI mobile app builder. Had offers paying more than I'd ever made but I turned them down because this felt like the right moment. AI plus my background building complex systems, felt like I could actually productize something hard.

And the product actually worked. Full mobile app development, app store deployments, monetization, custom backend orchestration for every app, invisible context trimming pipeline that handled 10,000+ messages in a single thread, cache deviation and protection, nested agentic collaboration. If you've worked with LLMs seriousl

I'm a dev who's been researching to set up my first property. While scouting Airbnb listings and Instagram for inspiration, I started mocking up what websites could look like for properties I liked.

One thing I keep noticing is that hosts spend so much time making the property unique, the materials, the styling, the soul of the place, the personality of it and then the web presence is either nothing, or a templated PMS site that flattens all of it back into a generic listing.

This isn't about discoverability, sidestepping Airbnb, or driving direct bookings from first-time guests or other technical setups. All of that comes later, or a PMS already handles it and can drive a custom site.

Built and launched an app solo 5 days ago, got 10k visitors with no ads. Currently trending at 12% visitor to UGC contribution. Worth of mouth is growing.

Not a startup, yet. Just something that is resonating and I am trying to move as fast as I can and trying to catch up.

Looking for one person who wants to make this spread, someone who understands communities, knows how to amplify the seed, and wants to figure it out together.

Understanding of the house rental market and located in Bay Area preferred but not required.

Launched my product on Product Hunt today and for the first time in forever, I actually exhaled.

Been building this startup alone for 4 months. Every day felt like I was one mistake away from everything falling apart. Everyday a struggle of second guessing.

I stopped making plans. Stopped dating. Stopped calling friends back because "what if they ask how it's going and I have to admit it's not working?"

Today, watching people actually use what I built... I remembered why I started. Power users actually getting enough value to pay me $200/month without breaking a sweat and spending hours using what I built. Complaining when things don't work and driving the product forward.

I didn't do it

The journey started way back in February. There was a launch, some users, 0 revenue and lots of people willing to "Try us out". We were solving a problem for the wrong audience and building a wrong product altogether.

Then there was a wedding, a break of a month and back to almost 0 traction.

Cut to April, we started reaching out to a segment of our old users and talking to them. Offering them help in return. We started noticing how they were working, what frustrated them, what their goals were.

Little bit of context may be important: We are building a platform that allows anyone who is non-technical entrepreneurs to **build and manage their mobile apps using AI named magically[dot]life

Hi all,

I am Rajat, the founder of magically[dot]life. We are allowing non-technical users to go from an Idea to Apple/Google play store within days, even without zero coding knowledge. We have built the platform with insane customer feedback and have tried to make it so simple that folks with absolutely no coding skills have been able to create mobile apps in as little as 2 days, all connected to the backend, authentication, storage etc.

As we grow now, we are now consuming 1 Billion tokens every 3 days. Here are the top learnings we have had thus far:

  • Context management is hard but worth it: We spent an absurd amount of time to build a 2 stage context engine that tracks relation

I am the founder of magically and our mission since launch a month ago has been to allow non-technical entrepreneurs build, deploy and manage their mobile apps using magically. No demo apps, no prototypes, real world production apps that will be monetizable.

While the promise was simple, the path of realising it, not so much. We launched and very quickly realised that we had expedited our path to failure. What that means in simple terms was the product was good enough to get a non-technical user from 0 to 80% within a day and then they would get stuck.

The issues:

  1. Constant errors
  2. Constantly changing designs due to AI hallucination
  3. AI double guessing
