No one, and I mean NO ONE is entitled to your personal business. How they react to you not wanting to disclose and whether they respect your boundaries or not is a reflection of them, not you.

Just having alot of late-night, post read thoughts but nowhere to express it but here. I realize there's a difference between how I interpreted The Yellow Wallpaper back in college and how I interpreted it now. College-me didn't do a dive into the deepness of this genre and simply wrote it off as oh she cuckoo caboodle and just went insane.
I think I was in complete shock the first time I read it and never wanted to pick it up again. Whereas current me is bemused that I didn't catch that she became the woman in the wallpaper or that the woman in the wallpaper escaped her bonds and is now free in the real world.
I'm just having late night thoughts and now feel like reading more stories I
Pertaining to relationships, dating, etc, why does it seem like socially, our value lies in whether we're in a relationship? I'm a few years away from 30 and I'm happy being single but people around me treat being single as the worst thing. There's this pressure from parents to find someone and have kids, social pressure from friends, even more from family.
Them: Hey, I haven't seen you in a while... do you have a boyfriend? Me: No, haha Them: oh....okay...
It just really bothers me at this point I'm trying to enter dating at my own pace but have this pressure from everybody to jump into a relationship. This was my rant for today :'(
There is grief in a fraction, once at hopes, in glory of its whole numeric form now reduced to less than. A life is meant to be whole, correct? So as a breath, a stretch in the grass, a heartbeat.
I danced with a fraction before. I appreciated it's strength to keep swaying to music ever so pleasing, but it's duty is also to remind me the song will eventually end. Like a ticking timer the fraction will run out, find a whole number again. A life is meant to be whole ... am I still correct? Not to be reduced to fractions?
There in the last stage, acceptance takes a bow, a roaring applause availed by the crowd. On to find a whole again as I bid thanks one last time to the fraction.

Break me, I can be shattered.
My desire is lost, my offer of love is dead, my heart...
Sighs, only but a tender whisper to remind of one's forgotten promise,
To never leave, to never allow one's heart to belong to another.
As the years go thoughtfully by, my consciousness has filled in the blanks...
Only I made that promise.
Eternity ... why are you so grand?
I yield, so willingly I do,
Oh beautiful universe, please be kind.
Catch me, nurture me in your loving hands.
Let me seek refuge in the stars
As the luminescence and I tangle into one.
I see your everlasting beauty flowing within,
The heavens accept me, welcoming with an open heart.
~
Eternity ... why are you testing me?
You move so easily whereas I'm startled
By the mere echoes of a thunder clap.
You are impatient, I must move with you,
Against the lightning, against the wind.
Dark skies swallow me whole as I have nowhere to go.
I'm fading from the universe's sight,
Slowly acquainted with agony, trapped in a mighty storm.
~
Eternity .
I ran away,
No, I didn't want to nor dreamed to.
~
Hurt knows my name.
She hates the life I lived, the good I've spread.
~
I cut it off, oh yes I did,
Otherwise she'd strike again.
~
Looking back, it was only a faint memory.
The Pillar I adored had plot against me.
~
Hurt told a story of how I wasn't worthy.
So the Pillar believed her word and left me with nothing.
~
Nothing...
Nothing...
Only but broken dreams
and an empty space beside me.
~
So to this I say ... not again,
I cut it off, I ran away my friend.
