You committed the ultimate cardinal sin, you got personal. You, as a team of professionals trying to make money, got personal. You got personal and decided to insult your playbase, calling us "ass-hats" and "freeloaders". Not a wise move.

We won't forget this. You've set a new tone for the kind of interaction we'll be having with you. It's a cold one. One where there aren't any illusions about the reality of the situation. Previous notions of "family" are dead. We are mere consumers to you, and that is obvious.

You have chosen to bring in a new era of hostility and bitterness. Well done. Great PR move.

Since I'm one of those people who actually likes quirky, novel weapons (read: I already had forma in most of these weapons before the balance patch), I decided I might as well give my opinion on some of the weapons and changes. This isn't exhaustive, and I welcome other opinions if you've got a great build!

#The Good

##Panthera

This is the one weapon that's done a serious 180 in terms of viability. It's not just straight-up better, either, it's also easier and more fun to use!

I was messing around with the Mandachord in the Simulacrum earlier and here's what I found.

#Mallet

  • Deals damage according to notes selected in Mandachord (DPS is unaffected)
  • More notes means more hits, but less damage-per-hit.
  • Less notes means fewer hits, but more damage-per-hit.
  • Increases damage when shot at by enemies, but Octavia/allies can't increase its damage this way.
  • Requires LoS to deal damage, which is the only reason to use...

#Resonator

  • Damage is applied similarly to Mallet: more notes = more hits
  • Attaching Mallet to Resonator makes the former harder to hit, meaning you're losing damage from the reflect bonus (i.e. most of Mallet's damage).
  • Also distracts
