Edit: looks like restrictions have been changed! What are the best places to watch sport in Helsinki? I’m new here (< 3 months) so have no idea.

Hi guys,

I’ve moved into a new rental last week and the place was left a real mess by the builders. We are the first people to live in it, however it was extremely dusty, dirty windows, paint and glue on floors, etc. We spent the best part of a day cleaning before moving stuff in.

We are still expected to get a professional clean upon vacating the property.

Does anyone have any advice here about getting out of this clean due to the state it was given to us in?

Does anyone have any advice on finding a 6 month rental in the south east (e.g pakenham, Berwick, or around that area close to the freeway.)

My partner and I are moving back closer into Melbourne for her work but I still work out in Gippsland so we need something for only 6 months.

I’m offering to pay the 6 months up front and even an extra $10-$20 a week but currently finding it difficult.

Why are they going so hard on it?

My feeling is it’s just a way to get people reading their news, but it’s unnecessary pressure and it is creating uncertainty around the situation.

Hi all,

As title suggests I’ve just gotten back to Australia from Germany and am having trouble finding a similar flour to what I was using there.

It was type 1050. I’ve bought a wholemeal flour from woolies, but it’s much thicker and I’m having trouble with getting a starter going.

Any ideas or does anyone know the equivalent here?

So, I’ve just started baking sourdough. I’ve baked 3 loaves now and they seem to be getting better each time.

I’m just wondering though, how do you avoid eating, and stopping my girlfriend eating, half the loaf within a hour of it being finished?

Has anyone applied for ViT registration while out of Australia and can give me any advice?

I have been working outside of Australia for the past 2 years and unfortunately it has lapsed.

Was it an easy process getting things authorised while out of Aus? I am in Germany so not an English speaking country.

I have emailed ViT but they are really unhelpful!

Hi guys,

I’ve arrived in Frankfurt to attend a Sprachkurs for 3 months. I am therefore looking to rent a flat for this time, but having a bit of trouble!

Can anyone recommend me places to look or point me in the right direction? I’m ideally looking for a apartment for myself (not sharing) and have a budget of around €800 per month.

I have been looking on WG - gesucht, but a lot seem to be scammers and have just checked into a room just for this week and it is utter crap.
