My coteacher is rude, insensitive, a huge liar over the dumbest things, emotionally erratic and unreliable. I never know which version of her will show up for work that day, or even if she will show up. Mostly I ignore her annoyances, but some days she just really gets under my skin and I feel my blood pressure rise. On top of that, our new assistant acting director started yesterday. She's a compulsive liar and a narcissist. She will tell five different stories in 30 minutes and they are all designed to make the listener think very highly of her. What's worse is that she and my co teacher have been best friends for 12 years, and they never let anyone know The past two days have been

Normally I don't think about my PCOS but today I'm really angry about it. I have several friends with PCOS and we were all chatting last night. They all have kids (one is pregnant with her fourth and has never needed any sort of fertility treatment) and they were all complaining about how they have no periods. I have perfectly normal periods but am unable to get pregnant. Like, if I have to deal with infertility and facial hair, why couldn't I also have the part where I have no periods? It's the most annoying and useless three days of every month to have to deal with blood as though my body is mocking me for what I can never have.
I started keto two weeks ago and I've done everything I'm supposed to. Monitored electrolytes, kept hydrated, managed macros, etc. I haven't worried about calories yet as I simply get used to keto. But damn, I can't seem to stop eating. That pang of hunger doesn't seem to go away.
Our center is experiencing a serious issue with biters in the toddler classroom. They are having up to five major biting incidents per day. The ratio in our state is very high at 9:1, and there are currently 15 toddlers enrolled (12-24 months) with a max of two teachers at once. I used to work in the room and we didn't have these issues so I've been partnering with the teachers in there to see what changes can be made the limit the biting. They claim they are doing everything they are supposed to do -keeping children busy, keeping watchful eyes, discussing biting with kids, getting down on their level etc but nothing is working.
The current lead teacher claims they simply are unlucky
My assistant director is taking the director position at another center (we are corporate). Today I was asked to be "acting assistant director" until the position is filled. Usually the 'acting' position is basically a trial and the person is often hired if they manage to do a good job. It was honestly a surprise to be asked since I've only been in this field and with the company for just over a year, but my level of education and previous supervisory experience in my prior field led to the decision to offer the position.
I'm just not sure about it. It would be interesting to see it would be like from the management side of things. I've been at a crossroads recently with having to dete
I'm heading to Scotland in a month for about 9 days and I'm trying to sketch out a rough itinerary. I, of course, am interested in Isle of Skye and Glencoe, but a lot of AirBnB's in my desired budget are already booked up, so I'm wondering about some other destinations that offer the same jaw-dropping scenery that I might be overlooking. I'm renting a car so I'll have a lot of flexibility on where I can go. I don't care for cities at all and love small towns. I'm mostly interested in things like scenery, nature, light hiking, and just getting the 'feel' of a local area. Depending on the day, I might be curious about touring a castle, landmark, or small museum but it's not something on m
I've seen a ton of posts remark on the stresses of the job. I'm just wondering what aspects of the job are most stressful for you.
For me, I find this job really fun and almost entirely stress free, but I'm coming from a very high stress career as a CPS social worker. I lived and breathed my work 24/7 even though I only worked about 70-80 hours a week. I decided I needed a break from that job because I was so burned-out and was barely functioning. I intended to work in ECE for six months before returning to some job using my MSW, but that's been over a year ago and I still have no plans to leave. It's just so nice to go to work and then leave it all there when I clock out. The most st
I'm heading to Scotland next month and I'm excited to include a couple of Outlander locations during my visit. I just can't decide if I want to include Inverness in my travels. For those who visited, did you think Inverness was worth it or for those who skipped it do you regret it. The only thing really Outlander related is Culloden field and I'm just not sure what else in the Inverness area I might truly be interested in.
I am looking for low profile waterproof boots that can hold up for some light hiking while also able to look fashionable for a casual everyday use out on the town. Does this sort of shoe exist?
My center pays for the CDA credential and I've signed up. It's online and starts tomorrow. I started working in ECE less than a year ago, working primarily with infants and sometimes toddlers. I loved it. After some staffing issues a few months ago, I was asked if I wanted to move to 3/4's and I accepted. When I recently signed up for the CDA, I did so for preschool/prek since this is the level I now teach. However, I learned that my center may open up a new infant room in a couple of months and I was asked if I want to be in that room. I really really do. I love preschool, but I loved infants more. So now I'm not sure how to proceed with the CDA.
I have a master's in social work
What are some reasons a dog would suddenly exhibit aggression? My dog is groomed every 4-8 weeks depending on the season. He never has any issue, even when seeing a new groomer. He's a 65 lb standard poodle and every groomer has said he's done great. Today I took him to Big Chain Store groomer based on reviews. He was great when we walked in, perfect when he was given a quick check up, and the same when they walked him to the back. The worker immediately returned and said that he tried to bit her, either when she was putting him in or taking him out it's unclear. Before they went to the back the one checking me in had been trying to get me to purchase add ons (like better shampoo, ban
You can hear her hear and there in the background, though Kaiser is really excited about the chickens and talking over her a lot. Then you hear her at the end. It's pretty age appropriate speech ability.
Hopefully someone can post the applicable clips. I don't have the right equipment.
Just a shoutout to Rita, the most loyal person in the Waterford house. She knows all the secrets and keeps her mouth shut. She seems so pious so the loyalty seems almost strange. Marthas are being shot in the street and she still doesn't come forward with what she knows about the goings on in the house. I'm hoping we get some background on her to see where this loyalty comes from. Any theories?
