I’m from MA moving to Utica for my husband’s job. He’s in the automotive industry and I’m an Infant Toddler Teacher, certified through EEC. When I try to look for jobs online through indeed there’s nothing available. Is it that these jobs just don’t exist or is it called something else there?

I’m semi crunchy + wholeheartedly wanted an all natural, unmedicated non medical intervention birth. I wanted relaxing music, twinkle lights, aromatherapy. UNTIL I GAVE BIRTH! I was 40+3 days pregnant when my water broke, never went into labor. 12 hours later I went to the hospital. I had pills to get my cervix going, I was 0 cm dilated. It took 4 days to go into labor after cervadil + pills(who knows) + pitocin. Luckily I went into labor. PAINFUL induced labor. I screamed and begged for an epidural after no sleep + no relief for days of contractions but never being dilated enough. My epidural never worked. They gave me a bolus, nothing. Still in pain. I could feel myself pooping on the bed.

Me + my husband bought his parent’s house for cheap so they could live in the in law rent free and we could own a house for cheap. We live in a very HCOL area so this is the only way we could’ve afforded a house. Before this we were renting. I decided to be a SAHM after staying home with baby girl for 6 months, she’s EBF and won’t take a bottle. Because of our situation we decided I could stay home and go back to school. I feel weird living in my in laws house and my husband is the only one who’s working and supporting us. I technically COULD leave her with my in laws since they’re retired and work to make more money. But they’re in their 70s and medically fragile. I don’t know if they even

Even when I was pregnant with her I feel like we felt the same. I even said, she’s going to look like my husband but be just like me. And she is! She came out and she’s super fair blonde hair blue eyes just like him. I’m brown hair, brown eyes tan. She’s 6 months now. Now that she’s here and we’ve been together everyday I just feel like we’re not 2 separate people but the same person. I never thought I’d feel this way about her for so long and it was just newborn hormones. Does anyone else really connect with their baby and not expect it?

My husband and I + our baby are moving to Wisconsin from Massachusetts soon. He does auto body and I’m a day care teacher. We’re moving for just a new experience and he was offered a higher paying job in Columbus, WI. Mass doesn’t pay great for auto body. What are some of the differences in attitude? Is it easy making new friends? Good if you like the outdoors? I’d love to make friends with other young families + feel like we belong

So my husband and I are in our late twenties with a baby that’s a few months old. We both are in trades, me a barber and him an auto body painter. We’re looking to move from coastal Massachusetts to somewhere cheaper we can have more kids and comfortably raise a big family with a lot of land that’ll be good for mostly his profession. Only thing we really care about is

-affordability
-safety
-peaceful/quiet
-community

We are flexible with the weather, we don’t mind cold winters. We’re not super political and get along with anyone. We don’t need a million restaurants or shopping areas. We’d prefer just nice places to go camping and canoeing on the weekends.

Places we’ve looked

My husband and I are trying to decide whether we want to move to North Carolina or Michigan. He (29M) is an auto body painter and I (28F) cut men’s hair. We have a 4 month old baby and I want to take a pause on working until she’s a little older. Problem is we live on the coast of Massachusetts where it’s insanely expensive. It’s so expensive here we rent from his parents and still barely have money left over. We’re very hard working and just want to find a nice place to raise a family. We like the seasons, don’t mind colder weather. We love the outdoors and camping. Ideally we wanted to move to Maine but he can’t find a job there. There’s a potential job in Sterling Heights, Michigan but it

So the two names we have are Daisy Claire Smith and Ruby Claire Smith. My husband likes both and said I can have the final say. I love Daisy because it’s whimsical and a flower like my name, I feel a real connection with the name because she seems like such a playful baby even in the womb. I also love the actress Daisy Edgar Jones. But I worry it’s too much of a dog name or she won’t like it when she’s older. I initially loved Ruby more. It’s my birth stone, she’ll be born in February where everything is red and pink. It’s a lot more classic but still unique enough. I’m not sure if it’s too older/serious but maybe she will like having a more serious name.

Please help me decide!

Back story: me & my husband are both 28 & married for 2 years, we’re expecting our first baby in February. My in law’s side is a studio apartment above the garage & my side is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom. They also have complete ownership of the garage, shed, backyard & 1 out of the 2 rooms in the basement.

My in laws offered for me and my husband to move into their side of the house & they move into the in law apartment so they can help out with the baby and we can save money. We moved in in April of this year and things have been rough. We tried to gate off our side of the porch off of the kitchen because their 2 dogs jump all over me when I try to go outside. They told us this isn’t allowed

So for context me (28F) and my husband (28M) have a house and both work full time. We’re expecting our first baby in February. My in laws live in the in law apartment of our house and we all have a good relationship. They’re older and retired, but don’t have the energy to watch the baby full time while we work. So the baby will be in day care 2 days a week. And I’m going to work just those 2 days and Saturday when my husband has the day off.

Part of me wishes I could stay home all together but 1. My husband says I’d have to give up my car because we wouldn’t be able to afford 2 car payments will just his income. And 2. I’d feel guilty we would bring in more money if I worked 3 days, even w
