Ben asked "what fictional setting would be the best to set a season of Jet Lag: The Game in" and the top five answers were:

  • Middle-Earth
  • Westeros
  • Narnia
  • World of Pokémon
  • Pan-Em (Hunger Games)

how do the top three answers have no public transport options?

I assume this is why Pan-Em's on there, because at least it has trains, but I suspect some people said that to get them into the Hunger Games, which seems like it'd be a bad season - Ben gets drunk and dies and then he's just a corpse for three episodes

Anyway, explain yourselves. Middle-Earth? (To be fair, World of Pokémon is a great answer, lots of clean public transport options, lots of fun challenge ideas and optionality

Yet another weird bug with the new app that I haven't seen anyone post about yet: I'm on Season 2 with a legacy account (bought the game when it was a single purchase, stopped running, picked it up last year) and when radio mode plays, it's started playing radio clips back-to-back, with no separation. This happens both after missions and also in the standalone radio mode. While Jack and Eugene are charming, I'd prefer it to work it as designed. Does anyone know if there's a workaround?

I'm a warrior main up to P3S who got started a little late on savage and now has found myself somewhat behind, and I can see Party Finder drying up on Materia (P2S was hard enough!). So I guess I need to find a static?

I'm available in AEST, GMT+10, on every night except Wednesday and Thursday. As can be gathered from my progress, I'm not particularly hardcore, and am happy to go into a static still on P2S if the people are good to play with. I'm a quick study and pretty patient.

I would like to do blind prog of the 6.1 content if you're interested in that.

I only have 3 M heroes, and none of them are Wilders. I have an L+ Nemora and Tasi. Normally it wouldn't be a question, but Arden's the only fodder hero that's worth anything past L160, and I can't raise the Resonance Crystal level until I get a 5th M anyway.

I want to sell my airship oil and pact crowbars, but obviously selling them for gold means someone can run Istan and buy them for gold instead of playing the map, fuelling the gold-per-hour map comparison that all these account-bound currencies put a stop to. So why can't I sell them for airship parts? Airship parts are account-bound too, and you can only get them by playing in the jungle.

If you could sell certain items in the trading post for a relevant currency, you can take advantage of the efficiency of the trading post while keeping the economy of each map isolated from the rest. It'd also give reward designers an option other than 'make an item extremely rare and tradeable' or 'make

This was a PC game on the computers at school, so DOS, that definitely came out no later than 1994 and was absolutely not cutting edge at that time, but it did use the mouse and I believe it was EGA.

What I remember of it is that it was a first-person, fairy-tale fantasy adventure game. There was a recurring location that was a two rows of stones or portals with a path between them, and clicking on a stone would send you to what felt like a random scenario. You'd try and make a little progress, and something would happen (you'd get a treasure or there'd be a setback), and you'd return to the stones screen.

I'm curious to watch a Longplay of it and try and work out as an adult what I missed

Okay, this is probably popular opinion time, but if you're opening a container, instead of returning a container item, it should roll on that container's drop table and return that instead. So if you get a mordrem cache, and open it, instead of giving you a heavy thorned bag, it just rolls on the heavy thorned bag's loot table. Bagception over; if you want to sell heavy thorned bags on the TP, you'll have to hope you loot them.

The whole point of bags is that you see in your inventory where it came from, and that bags stack better than a bunch of crafting materials and masterwork equipment. This isn't relevant when we start opening bags, so let's skip the intermediate step.

Anyway, to salv

I realised that, with more robust squads, ArenaNet finally have a way to reward the right people (i.e. not farmers) for playing WvW: if they know that a 'squad' has succeeded in an event, and there's enough people in that squad, then they can award the squad leader special bonus gold and maybe replacement blueprints.

Edit: apparently people aren't aware that it's usually the commander (e.g. the squad leader) that places blueprints. They cost money.

This wouldn't even be that inflationary, because it's one person getting a payout per tower or keep every five minutes, max. In the grand scheme of things, this just isn't that much. The risk is that you'll have a lot more commanders coming in t

I feel like I've got a pretty good handle on things, and it just occurred to me that I don't remember seeing a player-focused demonstration of the new AI, and I don't remember anyone mention noticing it during the beta weekends.

So did it actually make the expansion, or was it one of those things that ArenaNet invested a fair amount of time into that fell by the wayside?

Let's hose this down:

Dragon Season posted these patch notes, which are, almost entirely, based on language from official blog posts. Curiously, they're described as 'complete', despite not mentioning gem store items, living world changes, or any of the other things we routinely see in patch notes. Controversially, they also mention that ascended items are going from a half-tier strength increase to a full tier increase. I think Dragon Season's been tricked: this is a troll, and this ascended item 'change' is the payload.

Here's why: Relics of Orr received the same email. It looks legit enough at first glance, but let's think carefully here. This is an ema
