I feel insane trying to describe this to my friends, many of whom either married the first person they dated or have never had a serious relationship.
My third serious relationship just ended a week ago. I wasn’t looking for it to end, and it came as an abrupt surprise when it happened, but when he was giving his speech about why he didn’t like me anymore, it just became so crystal clear to me that it never would have worked out anyway. I really did care for him, and until that moment we had only had fun and meaningful times together. And yet… After two days, I felt close to nothing. Now, eight days later, I don’t know how to describe it other than to say that I have mostly forgotten that I
My boyfriend has severe visual impairment. He has some peripheral vision, but is blind enough to the extent that your average escape room would not be something he could fully participate in. He has always been intrigued by the concept, though. I am wondering if there are any Midwest escape rooms that were designed with this in mind? Either fully in the dark, or with clues and puzzles with low vision needs? Open to any creative options :)
Got the keys yesterday. This is not a complaint or seeking advice - this is simply a list of facts that I did not know when I started this process.

Your expected down payment is way less than you might end up paying. I put down roughly $25k, which was 10%. My goal was $20k - didn’t work out in my local market. Okay, fine. I was told $5k for closing costs - nope, try over $10k. So ended up spending basically $35k instead of the $25k I was anticipating.

Bare minimum renovations/personalizations are EXPENSIVE. Sure, change the locks. $250. Clean the carpet. $200. Paint. $500. Fix the little things. $200. Rent a truck and buy your friends pizza to help you move. $150. It adds up - FAST.
Hey guys! Been lurking here for a minute as I begin the journey of looking for a condo in my area around $200k, which is a bit below average selling price here but still doable with a few options.
I signed with a realtor a few weeks ago. Standard 2.5% closing fee, but the contract is immediately cancellable at any time by me with no consequence that I can tell. I am a lawyer, so I like to think I am not missing something obvious in the contract to the contrary.
I will be the first to say I don’t know much about this process and could use the help of a professional, but so far my realtor has sent me maybe 3 automatic emails with properties matching some (not all) my needs over the last 5 we
My sister is having a baby boy named Levi. He will be the first kiddo of his generation in my family, so everyone is really excited! I am looking forward to being an aunt. I grew up with my aunt calling me Noodle as her special name for me, and I would like to come up with something cute that is my special nickname for Levi. Looking for suggestions! Doesn’t necessarily have to be based on his name.
I need to file a lawsuit citing EU travel rights against KLM (Dutch airline). The flights took place last September and were booked through a travel company called EF Ultimate Break. I departed from Rome, had a layover in Amsterdam, and eventually landed in Los Angeles. I now live in Chicago. Trying to figure out who I can hire and where to help with this. Will supply more info if necessary. Thanks!
I need to file a lawsuit citing EU travel rights against KLM (Dutch airline). The flights took place last September and were booked through a travel company called EF Ultimate Break. I assume courts in Los Angeles would have jurisdiction but want to check before hiring an attorney in the wrong place. Will supply more info if necessary. Thanks!
I, among many others, was affected by a system shut down back in September of last year, resulting in a 26-hour delay from which I incurred about €500 of real costs, and I believe became entitled to an additional €600 under EU travel rights. KLM of course denied the latter, but agreed to reimburse any actual costs on November 15 of last year. I provided receipts, but they subsequently closed the claim with no further communication and without ever sending the reimbursement. Customer care says that the only thing I can do is continue replying to that email, which I’ve done multiple times to no avail. What are my options?
I spent six months agonizing over what my next car should be. I’ve only had hand me downs so I didn’t know how to shop or what to look for. Finally settled on Subaru Crosstrek and was excited about making a decision. Told my mechanic: his eyes went wide, and he mouthed, “NO!” He told me the repairs are frequent and expensive, that there was a $7k transmission job happening in the shop right now. Told me Lexus was the only way. Thoughts?
Edit: Message for individual or bundle pricing as at least one item has already sold.
I’m moving across the country in four days and trying to get rid of everything ASAP. Would love to send all together to save money and time. I spent about $200 on these materials and would ask for $120 with shipping included. Message me for individual or other price combos.
