Hey, i'm curious about the difference between the unions i've seen mentioned here for cannabis workers.

I've seen mention about Teamsters 777, Local 881, Local 1, and Local 399.

If you are a cannabis worker with experience with any of these unions, please share your thoughts on which you went with and why.

I know some brands catch a bad rap (for good reason), and I was wondering what the word was about Bedford Grow, specifically their concentrates/extracts.

Have you tried their stuff? Is it good?

Is the company legit (e.g. actively trying to fuck craft licenses, or staying out of it?)

Maybe someone here who does their own extractions can point me to a store that I can buy hexane at, anywhere in Illinois?

It's not at home depot/etc, or at brew and grow, and I'd rather drive to pick it up, than wait a week for shipping(and pay extra for handling).

..where can I buy Hexane in Chicago? I'm trying to pick it up rather than wait a week for shipping.

Big box hardware stores don't carry it, and neither does Brew and Grow.

Any ideas?

Hey peeps, I'm thinking about making some new jar lids, that I can shoot LC through to inoculate.

I was wondering if anybody with experience has used those little 0.22 micron syringe filters to provide gas exchange?

I've used them before on jars of LC, but I'm not sure if they provide enough gas exchange for grains.

Also welcoming suggestions for jar lids that I can inject thru and work well for grain spawn.

You've heard it all before, re: the culture and community of the game, how its changing faster than ever before, and maybe not for the better.

What I'm saying is, bitching about it isn't going to fix it. I'm not telling anyone not to complain, just saying that doesn't do shit for helping the problem.

Some people suggest a longer, more in-depth tutorial. This is a decent idea. Obviously there is too much information to cover everything in a single tutorial, but just a little update to what we have might be nice. ..except that OWI has no intention (IIRC) of making a new tutorial or anything like that.

I've already clocked Fungi Perfecti and the lab supply giants, but I'm looking for the best deal, since they can get pricey quick, and shipping also bites.

In fact, I would go so far as to say that maybe there's a correlation between: people fasting to have an empty stomach for tripping, and people who can't figure out why their stomach always hurts.

Could it be.. hunger? Or that mushrooms are mostly chitin, a tough fiber to break down which causes your stomach to release more acid? Or both?

Jussayin, I've never given any consideration to making sure my stomach was empty when eating psychedelics, and I asked a friend who's eaten even more mushrooms, and in his method he specifically eats a light meal a little bit before dosing, so that he doesn't have to deal with stomach discomfort.

I ordered a bulk-collection set of spores from u/PsiloChemist.

Shipping took a little longer than I expected, due to supply issues, then some postal service hiccups, but they let me know about delays.

Re: supply issues, they were short on a few varieties. They informed me via message and gave options for adjusting the order.

Packaging was prints on foil, grouped by species in ziploc bags. Simple, clean, effective.

For the delay and supply hiccups, they threw in some extra prints, which is always appreciated.

Room for improvement: the foils could use clearer labeling. Some are have the full name, some just initials. I spent awhile looking back between foils and the original post on my p
