Hello! I am studying to become the equivelant of an Electronic Technician and I have to create a circuit of some sort.

I asked friends if they needed something and one said that he could use a temperature sensor to measure heat in a pipe, and I like that challenge, but I am having difficulties thinking of ways to transmit the data. He asked if i could make this as small as possible and so far I have thought of using a PIC microcontroller to read the analog voltage of a temperature sensor and converting to digital and send that through a wireless signal of some sort. What would be the best way to transmit this signal? I am going to have another PIC microcontroller recieve the signal and send

I'm not sure what to do.

I was given a used server from work and it has one 4 core 2.0ghz xeon 5405, 6GB of DDR2 ram, and 2 148gb 10k HDD.

I have been toying with the idea of buying 2x xeon 5470 on ebay and more ram but I'm not sure if it is worth it. I live in Iceland so taxes and shipping are a bit of a problem if I buy a used server from ebay for example.

Any advice you can give me?

And I will be trying to run a Minecraft server on this if that helps, with up to 20 people.

Vildi bara búa til þennan póst til að hvetja fólk til að nota Archive.is til að sleppa við að gefa ýmsum miðlum auglýsingatekjur.

Þetta er mikið notað á subredditum sem reyna einmitt að forðast það að veita "rusl" miðlum tekjur.

Dæmi: https://archive.ph/GfwNA

Auðvelt að búa til þessa linka, bara fara inn á Archive.is og smella inn linknum sem þið viljið búa til.

Ps. Reyndi að gera titilin smá clickbait.
