i'm a big fan of watching the ASL, GSL, and other starcraft tournaments, and enjoy hearing the casting and game sound effects.
i'm tired of the same dozen or so songs playing in the background nonstop, and would rather play my own music instead
is there any tool out there i'm missing that can remove background music from streams/videos? on any platform?
kinda hoping casters will find a way to make the music optional. i recognize this is mostly a limitation of the video/streaming platforms, and plenty of viewers wouldn't like it if the videos had no music by default
I remember there being a blog about the metagame of a tournament/format where you could choose your opening hand without (barely) any deckbuilding restrictions
IIRC it was a yearly thing. People would submit decklists and they'd all auto-play bo3s against each other, probably manually by the tournament organizer. Metagame started with 7 [[chancellor of the dross]] and evolved from there
My google-fu is failing me; I can remember neither the name of the format nor the name of the blog and can't find either. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about?
I'm running a low level published adventure, and there's an encounter with multiple Esipil. The important part of the level 1 Esipil is its ability Skip Between:
Skip Between [one-action] - (conjuration, divine, teleportation) - The sahkil moves from the Material Plane to the Ethereal Plane or vice-versa, with the effects of ethereal jaunt except that the effect has an unlimited duration and can be Dismissed. A summoned sahkil can’t use Skip Between.
The fiend has a +1 intelligence modifier, and I don't think it takes a genius to realize the ideal strategy is to wait in the ethereal plane, get into position, then spend a turn going Skip Betwee
Honestly should delete, it would probably be perceived as bullying. Writing it just made me laugh a lot. I can't help it, I don't want it to be mean

Yellow: Did you say bone hurting juice?
Green: Uh... yea
Yellow: Can you help us out??
Grey: Can we have some?
Blue: We need out of our skeletons!
Yellow: We're numb!
Blue: I can't handle any more bones!
Yellow: Help us get more juice!
Grey: Teach us to grow oranges!
Yellow: Take my racist elf!
i'm at realm depth 51, playing as cabalist
i like the playstyle, but i'm running into an issue
i've been cruising through the game on the back of specialization shenanigans, mostly combo-ed with various iterations of the "on the rocks" trait (from centaur ranger) for cleanup
my fastest creature/sweeper (boots with all slots +% speed) casts a bazillion spells, giving all opponents a bunch of debuffs and racking up the "spells cast" count. i also have the "Pallida" trait (from terra vulpes) to try to get the ball rolling before the battle starts, and the "Storm to Pass" trait to skip some enemy turns. if i accomplish either of those things i feel invincible.
however, i've found that if i g
I keep bouncing between main races, but one thing consistent between both brood war and sc2 is that there's one race in particular I neither enjoy playing as or against.
Maybe you don't love terran, or protoss, or zerg, but there's one that DEFINITELY isn't your favorite. You wish that 'random' had an option to blacklist one specific result.
Does this resonate with you? Which one is it?
i played someone on the ladder that seemed way above my level for various reasons that aren't important.
i decided to look at their match history, and for every win (which would take a normal-to-long amount of time) they had a loss that took under 30 seconds.
I didn't go particularly far back, but every single one of their losses was this quick.
Would I be allowed to do that, or is this reportable in some way?
What effect would there be on the game if a new basic land type and associated color of mana were added, but no cards referencing that color or specific land type were added. No philosophy, nothing done with the color pie. As was I think originally considered for Time Spiral block, let's call it a cave producing purple mana.
[Cave]
[Basic Land - Cave]
[T: add P]
Which cards would become stronger? Weaker? Break?
Put shortly: I have a board of only [[Soulherder]] and [[Phantasmal Dragon]].
At the end of my turn, do I have to sacrifice the dragon?
Bonus question: How would it have to be phrased to work the opposite way?
i'm going to be the curmudgeon here and say i dont like the new 'add a counter/gain life' sound
it's too high-pitched and ear piercing
You have to re-apply turn stops every single turn, and you can't put stops on attack phases.
"Full Control" turns off whenever anything happens, so if phases are moving quickly it can be obvious when someone is bluffing (especially when the main -> combat -> declare attackers -> declare blockers moves instantly)
"Hold Full Control" stops even at places where the game normally wouldn't stop if someone were holding an instant- the draw (or is it upkeep? whatever, something at the beginning) phase. So if you only turn it on when you want to bluff, it also becomes obvious.
On top of that, "hold full control" just makes the game run more slowly, which is inconvenient to my opponent. W
Please forgive me for this question, I'm sure it has been asked a thousand times already.
It is said that light travels at the same relative speed (the speed of light) regardless of how fast the observer is moving. I struggle to understand this hypothetical.
Let's say we have a Y-Wing starfighter. The important part is that it is shaped like the letter Y.
Here we have a setup: A laser attached to the top wing, pointed towards a sensor on the bottom wing. When the sensor is hit by the beam of light, it transfers a signal to the emitter to broadcast light outwards to any observers.
Let's say the Y-wing is at rest. When the laser is fired, the beam hits the sens
