Hello all,

I wanted to take the opportunity to say happy (somewhat belated) pride month to our members of the LGBTQ+ community. While it has been rough (to say the least) for the community in the past four years, I was very elated to hear about the recent SCOTUS decision, and I hope progress like that continues in spite of our current bigoted political leader(s). I'm amazed the progress and acceptance that's occurred just in my lifetime (remember when gay marriage wasn't even legal?), especially in regards to the trans community recently, and while there's still much to be done, it gives me hope.

I have created a mod application much like the one on r/opiates, but we have divided applications for r/heroin and r/opiates.

The mod team is discussing what would be fun for a 100k member special. So far, we've thought of a writing contest. We were thinking of piling some awards together and handing them out to the best.

The mods have decided unanimously to now disallow mentioning of states. You especially may not mention states in dope porn. Anything more specific than a country will result in a warning/ban.

Exceptions include (but are not limited to): Fent warnings, recovery-centered discussions, harm-reduction discussions, news articles, and other related discussions not currently made aware. This is more a case-by-case basis, so there is room for states in appropriate discussions. If you are unsure about something you want to post, please message the mod team.

Hello all,

The mods have been talking about the continued allowance of states, especially in the case of dope porn. We are considering disallowing any locations more specific than states (unless, of course, it is a fent-warning post).

In similar subbreddits (like opiatechurch), they ban states outright, and I would bet that is a large help to their continuance.

It is hard to determine what is best for the sub. I think it's reasonable to say that banning states would keep this sub safer from the admin banhammer, but there is also the case of what the community wishes to see.

We would like to get your feedback on this before implementing anything. Please let us know your thoughts!
