Why do you let your cruiser teammates tank in front of you as the enemy team pushes up the flank? It happens so often when I play any type of cruiser that needs emotional support islands for survival. Two or three enemy ships come pushing down the 1 or 10 line and instead of taking position up front on the same line and blocking them... my own battleships are all full health two squares behind me, kiting back towards mid.

Why do so many BB players do this? What's the point of saving the heals and HP until the caps are lost and the DDs and cruisers are all dead? Why not take a position on the 1-2 or 9-10 line right from the start? From there it's possible to tank, stop pushes and provide cro

During the last 1-2 weeks I've had a bunch of REALLY unbalanced matches in randoms. Like one side have a lot more radar ships for example, 1v3, 2v6 or even 0v3 in some games. I've also had games with only cruisers and BBs, or triple sub + CV, five destroyers plus a sub per team and so on.

I mean, I appreciate not having subs or carriers in every single game but the radar thing really sucks no matter what team you're on.

I'm on EU. Anyone else noticing the same?

Imagine, you're playing a slow as shit battleship and you manage to kill two of the three last enemy ships. High Caliber! You have a slight point lead and equal caps. It's been a close battle but you've managed to come out on top! Feels good, right? The problem is that your only living team mate is a CV played by someone without hands and the last enemy ship is also a CV, a CV with a slightly more capable player behind the controls. Of course the enemy proceeds to camp in J10, sending wave after wave of bombers and torpedo bombers after you. Your AA does nothing and there is no way you can reach the creature in time to even fire a volley against it. All you can do is to dodge to the best of

"I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic" is by far the worst series I have ever read. Calling it garbage would feel like an insult to actual garbage and I don't recommend it to anyone.

I'm the type who reads and enjoys everything from research papers to the works of Tolkien and Asimov to pure unfiltered filth. To give you an idea of who I am here are some examples of how I would rate things:

  • Slave Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World (WN) - Bad but enjoyable

  • Oukoku e Tsuzuku Michi (WN) - Masterpiece... kind of?

  • Death March - One of my favorites

  • Shield Hero - Good start but mid later on

  • Silent Witch - Good

  • Inside the Cave of Obscenity -

For some reason Mumei arrived to the gym together with me. We were there as contenders in the annual boxing competition.

Ripped and muscular like I've never been in my entire life I sat down in a sofa in the lobby. Mumei said something about not having been to the gym a lot lately so I started thinking. "Same, I haven't really been here for over a year." "You too?" "Yeah, wonder how this whole boxing thing will go..."

She looked stared straight at me for a few seconds, obviously thinking about something. "Let's go bake some dreams instead"

After a moment of consideration I replied "Sounds good to me", got up from the sofa and instantly woke up.

I'm an old dude, haven't boxed in ~20

Probably 80-90% of my play time was in S12, which was my first season, but then life got in the way and I only had the energy to play sporadically. I do watch some streamers so I've somewhat kept up with things but matchmaking still managed to surprise me... and it's actually not all bad.

So, I recently picked up this game again and holy hell has the matchmaking outside of Ranked improved. Here I am, reflexes like an old man, aim of a potato and positioning like roadkill. Don't know the maps, don't know the angles or choke points, don't know the zones. Even playing Mixtape late at night I've only been stomped by master level players a few times. In game modes outside of Ranked this used to

The Japan Channel is basically a guy who talks about and films things in Japan. There's everything from short clips of interesting products to long discussions about what to expect when dealing with life in the country.

The channel has been hit again and again by YouTube's bullshit and is slowly dying because of it. The latest is that comments have been disabled for all videos, making it impossible to talk about the contents, to share similar or different experiences, or leaving input. There is nothing stolen, nothing controversial, nothing illegal, nothing offensive to be seen among the 3800-ish videos that have been posted over the last

I've noticed that every time I right click on an image to save it Firefox downloads it again instead of using the cached file that is already being displayed. That seems pretty wasteful and leads me to wonder:

Is it possible to change this behaviour?

Why is it done like this? Is there any good reason it for it to be done in this particular way?

I’m wondering how gains from stock trading are taxed in Japan, especially if there’s no other form of income involved. Both me and the missus (Japanese) have tried researching this but the answers vary and are somewhat unclear. The Japanese taxes are higher than in our current country of residence but without knowing exactly how much higher it's difficult to make a cost-benefit comparison.

If anyone could help answer the following it would be much appreciated:

  • At what percentage are gains from trades taxed?
  • At what percentage are dividends taxed?
  • What other taxes, like regional or local taxes, come into play and at what rates?
  • How much for national healthcare?
  • Pension payment

When you add a program directly to the panel you can right click and change the icon. This change is applied only to that link so if you add more of the same program you can different icons for different launch options. I use this for Firefox, where different icons lead to different profiles.

So far I haven't found the setting for the number of rows of panel icons and one long row wastes a lot of space so it would be preferable to instead use the quick launch that has such a setting. The problem is that when I change the icon, name, and launch settings on the quick launch the changes are applied everywhere, not just for that single link. This completely defeats the entire purpose of having

Recently I had an interesting experience that made me think about what capabilities are currently being utilised for targeted advertising. I have a friend who works at Toyota and I called him to ask for advise regarding my parents next car. In the end he suggested the RAV4.

At home we use a streaming service that sometimes serves ads for other things but mostly just for their own shows. The day after the phone call it was for the Toyota RAV4. I never searched for it and my only visit to the Toyota webpage, weeks before, focused on the Hilux, Aygo and Auris.

Is this just a coincidence? Or did they listen to the call and then correlate my friends contact information for me with the accounts
