I wonder if anyone can relate - I don't know if it's the pandemic, the fact that I'm getting older, my bad life decisions of the past catching up to me, or all three, but my general health has never been poorer.

I'm 33, and have bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, GAD, and PTSD (so many capitals that it feels like I'm Internet-shouting.) My spring allergies have gone nuclear this year, giving me allergic asthma to the point that I have trouble breathing. I also developed gut problems about 5 months back, maybe stress-induced, and spend the first several hours of the day rushing to the bathroom. I also have TMJ, post-nasal drip, arthritis in my feet, and probably some other things that I'm forge

Whelp, I gave it the old college try. After five weeks of taking lamotrigine, my doctor and I have agreed that I should discontinue it, because of my body's lack of ability to tolerate it.

Lamotrigine caused me to have polyuria (producing large amounts of diluted urine) and polydipsia (extreme thirst), to the point that I've been peeing over 50 times a day, at the same time as feeling as though I'm in a desert of thirst. In addition to these physically exhausting side effects, my mood has plummeted, and my passive s.i. has increased many-fold. I'm making strides with reducing the latter, with the help of my therapist and other supports.

But, heck, I was really hoping for lamotrigine to

Yesterday, I had a medication consultation with a psychiatrist, and felt relieved that she really heard me. She confirmed my bipolar disorder diagnosis, and I thanked her, because I struggle with imposter syndrome about the whole thing. Now, I'm cautiously optimistic that I'll start to feel more stable soon

To distract this subreddit from our conditions, I thought that it might be fun to list our mbti types! I'll go first, I'm an ENTP! :)

People with bipolar disorder have a higher risk of suffering migraines than the general public. Do any of you guys get migraines, and do they affect your mood?

Oddly enough, I'm often hypomanic the day before a migraine, and sometimes during (case in point, tonight!)

Just trying to pain manage and mood manage right now. Take care out there!

I've been fighting off tears for days. My best friend/roommate, the strongest guy ever, is developing what he and I both believe could be generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).

The covid-19 and other stressors have been wearing him down, until he couldn't handle it anymore. He retreated to his room, and I've been bringing him food and tea and stuff. He's hanving constant, debilitating anxiety, interspersed with panic attacks.

This guy saved my life a few times, and is one of the kindest, strongest, most respectful people I've ever met. He helped me get off hard drugs almost 2 years ago, and I informally refer to him as my sponsor.

My own BP2, GAD, OCD, ADHD, and PTSD are a lot to deal

I just discovered that, because of covid-19, Canada Post will not deliver my medical cannabis anymore, instead requiring that I pick it up at the post office.

My roommate is immuno-compromised, so I cannot go to the post office without risking their health, even with the proper precautions.

What should I do? Could someone please tell me which medical cannabis companies do not use Canada Post?

Edit: Thanks a million for all your suggestions! Now I just have to choose!

I learned a new word yesterday - anosognosia, or the in ability to clearly see one's own condition. Maybe that, or imposter syndrome, or something, is making it so hard for me to clearly see how hypomanic I've been the last few weeks.

I've been debating about posting here for days, because I keep telling myself it would be a waste of people's time to read my story. But I know that this subreddit can be a place to vent, so here I am.

It's difficult for me to not like this hypomania - I know that these episodes damage the brain over time, but it does feel subjectively good. I'm diagnosed bipolar II, and have been sleeping less, feeling hypersexual, really goal-oriented, and expansive, for

Best vape for my jaw pain issues?

Recommendation Request

Hi everybody. I rarely post here, but have been curious if anybody could help me out. I'm looking for a vape that has a mouthpiece that won't cause me to hurt my jaw by trying to use it.

I have TMJ issues from several jaw injuries in my past, and my current vape (just a cheap Black Mamba) has a mouthpiece that hurts so much after a while.

I'm such a noob here, but I've seen images of people somehow connecting their vape to a bong? That sounds like it would help, because I have no problem with my glass-blown cannabis pipe's mouthpiece.

I should mention that I'm also on disability, and can't afford some of the more expensive vapes. My price limit's probably around $180-$200.

Well, it's May, and I've once again entered the hell that is my four-month-long mixed state. Once September rolls around, it's like I can breath again. But, until then, it's like everything around me, as well as my own mind, is metaphorically screaming at me.

I'm on medication, but it's at a very low dose, and the psychiatrist that I saw for a one-time assessment last December said it wasn't high enough to have a mood-stabilizing effect.

In the next few weeks, I should be hearing from a potential therapist. My family medical clinic's on-call social worker has been amazing in sending a referral out for me, while the mental health system in my area is being restructured.

Probably due to my very pale 'ginger kid' complexion, I've gotten mild rashes all my life. Whenever I'm stressed, tired, over-excited, or some combination of the three, I get red splotches on my arms, cheeks, or legs.

My problem is, of course, in regards to the risk of Steven-Johnson syndrome when taking Modafinil.

Is there an easy way for me to tell if one of my rashes is the beginning of something bad because of my Modafinil use? At the moment, I just keep a close eye on my rashes, and make sure that they go away after a few hours.

I know that taking moda sublingually significantly reduces its half-life when compared to orally, but by how much? Does sublingual moda work for only half as long as oral moda, a quarter as long, less? Could anyone help shed light on how the routes of administration compare in this way?

Mono triggering hypomania?

Dangerous Behavior Warning

Hi everybody, I'm a 32-year-old woman with bipolar II, rapid-cycling. A few months ago, I was casually dating a guy who, to his credit, told me he was recovering from mono before we ever got together. Being that I was in a hypomanic episode when we met, I impulsively decided to date him anyways.

Now, a few months later, it has occured to me that what I thought was a flu, or perhaps covid-19, might actually be mono. I have a sore throat, a cough, swollen lymph nodes, and aching muscles. These symptoms keep going away and coming back every few days, over the past two weeks. I've been in quarantine during this time, just in case I do have covid-19.

After my realization, another sneaking

I've got to laugh at how ridiculous this combo is. I've been sick with a bad 'flu' for over a week now, and am starting to question whether it's covid-19.

At the same time, I'm hypomanic right now. My body feels charged up and hypersexual, but also very achey and ill.

I'm quaratined with my best friend and roommate, who is also sick. I'm currently in my pjs watching them game, and I just dosed up on NeoCitran and Nyquil. Even though I'm trying to take care of myself physically, I do wonder whether my ridiculous energy level is wearing me out, making me take longer to get better.

Anybody else in this same strange boat?

Today's my 1 year anniversary of kicking this particular demon, and I just wanted to brag to my peeps on this subreddit.

1 year and 1 month ago, I kicked meth; but, being the brilliant person I was, I switched back to my old demon, cocaine. Then, on April 5th 2019, I tossed my last two dimebags in the toilet and flushed them.

Since then, it's been an arduous year of pain and recovery. Sometimes, I swear that I smell coke, my brain is that tied up in it still. My bipolar II, PTSD, ADHD (newly diagnosed), and anxiety make things tough too.

But I still did it. My nose is really messed up, and I have cold sweats when I'm sleeping, but I still look okay, and have all my hair and teeth.
