That sentence seems like an oxymoron doesn’t it?
We all have our stories, but I’ll share a little of mine for context. I don’t drink everyday. I usually binge drink once a month (I mean like 10-15 drinks in the night). I’ve also been consuming 1.5g -2.5g in weed edibles everyday. No, that’s not a typo. 1500mg-2500mg. For those unfamiliar with cannabis edible dosages, a standard dose is 10mg and 50mg would send most people over the moon. What a lot of people don’t know is very excessive cannabis usage causes liver issues in similar ways alcohol can (based off the case studies I’ve read of people consuming the amount of cannabis I do daily).
So, I have been in a spiral lately. When I’m not
(21, AFAB, no meds, occasional drinking and psychedelic use, daily cannabis user, white, 267lbs, 5’4, in US and have a history of cyclic vomiting syndrome, gastritis, erosion of my esophagus, and a laparoscopic appendectomy 6-7 weeks ago).
My PCP thinks I may have Chron’s and has referred me out to GI (along with my history of upper GI issues). However, my initial appointment with them isn’t until next Tuesday.
Issue is, my abdominal symptoms have gotten worse over the last week I’d say. I have significant pain in my back and stomach when I wake up and I immediately have to have a bowel movement. Every time I eat I feel like my gut is being ripped alive. Most importantly though, I was po
Thought it was time to celebrate getting out of debt and starting college again. Haven’t been like this in over 6 months. I’m happy lol.
So, I’m 21 and have gone through a lot of hardship over the last few years. This has made me change my general plan for life a couple of times. But, after switching my major a few times, I decided I want to get a BS in IT. When I’m done with school, I want to move to Las Vegas. I was born in Las Vegas and lived there for the first 10 years of my life. Besides, IT does much better in Vegas than the state I live in.
I also figured out, after soul searching the last month, that I really am trans (I had a period where I questioned if transitioning was the right choice for me and I figured out it was and I want to continue it!), I don’t want kids, I’m a stoner, and I’d be content being single.
So my doctor thinks I have Chron’s but it isn’t confirmed yet. My belly has felt sore and squeezing pain on the lower right, middle, and left side of my belly. I took Tylenol and anti-nausea meds per my doctor’s request, but my pain isn’t getting any better. This squeezing pain is something I’ve never felt before and started about 11 hours ago. Google tells me appendicitis has a lot of my symptoms
I don’t want to under react if it’s an emergency but I can’t afford and ER visit unless I’m at risk of dying and I don’t want to get worked up over nothing.
Would you go to the ER?
Hi everyone! So, I attended UW-Madison 3 years ago when I was 18. Life circumstances forced me to take a few year break, but I want to come back to the dorms to get the college experience covid cheated me out of and it’s better for my financial situation.
I was wondering what dorms would be best for a more quiet, upperclassmen-aged atmosphere (as I’m 21)? I was maybe thinking maybe some of the Lakeshore dorms from my experience living in Waters and Phillips. However, if you have any other dorms to recommend, let me know.
Any input is appreciated!
So, I have never had seizures in my life until this week (I’m a young adult). It first came from alcohol withdrawal. Then, while I was in the psych hospital for alcohol withdrawal, they only gave me half the dose of my depakote I take for mental health (which is also an anti-seizure med). Even though I’m back on a normal dose, I’m still have seizures. I’m having multiple a day.
Can this happen? What should I do? I’ve been to the ER once already but they just gave me more depakote. I’m unsure what to do as I had a seizure at work today and got sent home early.
So, I met my now ex and dated them for 4 months. I became very close to their mother and their family during that time.
I was going to become homeless since I’m 10k in debt from my mental health and couldn’t afford my rent with it. However, my ex’s mom, not my ex, offered me to live with their family so I wouldn’t be homeless.
My ex and I are like siblings now haha. We chill.
I have developed a strong mother figure because of it. As someone who had a very abusive, narcissistic mother, this feels very healing.
I’m living in a loving home for the first time in my 21 years of life. I finally have the stability (after I pay my debt) to return to college and become the psychiatrist I’ve al
Hi everyone! I use an electric scooter to get to work everyday, I lost my bike lock, and can’t get another one till next Friday. I need one sooner for work.
The bike lock I’m looking at is about $20. So, I would need about a $25 gift card. Was wondering if anyone could help me out!
