The top quarter is only top 16 seeds (Alcaraz v Zverev, Rublev v Khachanov) which means the bottom 3 quarters are 75% players that are replacing some seed. 9 out of 12 players aren't top 16 seeds in the bottom three quarters.

The players are as follows:

Zhang, Karatsev, Zapata Miralles (versing Fritz, Medvedev, and Tsitsipas respectively)

Munar vs Altmaier Coric vs Davidovich Fokina Cachin vs Struff

A player in each of those Round of 16 matches is making a Madrid quarterfinal. And none were even supposed to get to this point...

Add another if you got it.

Djokovic V Machak was a good one, despite straight sets I quite enjoyed Djokovic V Halys, same thing goes for Sinner V Alcaraz obviously. wanted to include it too and feel free to reply it if you think it is the best. always love that dynamic, but definitely do feel like some errors from both guys played a part in the first set and the second set was a very big step up from Carlos and mostly one way traffic. Still a fantastic fantastic watch and so many great moments and rallies of shotmaking. Loved it yesterday and that rivalry is for sure gonna give us some great matches still for years hopefully a few more this year.

Another- Isner V Wu is a personal favori

He currently ranks 12th all-time in the stat. If he plays every Major for the rest of the year then he will already rank ninth on the all-time list. Not sure he's the first person I'd think of or expect from this stat, but he does always seem to be there and around at the Majors, even if he hasn't had the amazing results there and gone as deep consistently as many were hoping when he started out. Still, pretty impressive and you never know, maybe Dimi could climb up near the top.

Here's the stat run-down on if he keeps on playing all the Major events:

If he plays until the 2025 Australian Open then he will already be fifth on the all-time list. If he plays through the 2027 US Open he wil

Let's go Feli Lopez! 504th career victory. At the tournament where he won the doubles event last year, his last title run. Not much to say he's gonna have many more if any more match wins, but here's hoping. Gotta enjoy this one, a great start to his last season at 41 years old, turning 42 later in the year. It's a fantastic start for him to the season.

Always a fun name to have around, great longevity and such a unique style of play and great personality. glad Acapulco gave him the WC. hope other tourneys follow suit, dude is a fun draw for any tournament and was a big name for the last 20 years. Glad he's still competing with his fun game style and winning at that !! Let's go Feli!
