Is a metallic wash/glaze possible?

Help Needed/New Painter

Basically as the title says, can metallics be used as a glaze/wash?

Essentially I am wanting to give a visor on a model a metallic coppery/bronze sheen to it without covering what I've already painted. But due to the nature of metallics I wasn't sure if that would be feasible and if not do people have suggestions? Please nothing like doing NMM etc I consider myself as barely a beginner at the hobby currently and I will most definitely ruin the model trying more advanced techniques.

With every CRPG by Owlcat, I learn I am build at builds when I there are so many options. I finally came to terms this was also the case in Rogue Trader, once you reach the point you can travel through the warp etc and fights would take ages, Argenta the communities favourite terminator was nothing but a pointless turn with how ineffective she was in my game. So I went looking for a build guide and came across Revan619s community guide.

My main question for people more familiar with the game and builds, what companion builds in this guide are just good? For a first completion I am not wanting OP builds, when I see people talk about 1 character just one turning everything as early as possibl

Recently forced to move house and where I'm at now, spray priming will be a huge hassle so I've been looking into brush on primer and seen a lot of comments saying Vallejo is the best for it (and paints in general).

I just wondered where people in the UK buy Vallejo from? Some of the sites I've seen, just from a UI perspective makes me think they might be less than reputable and I'd prefer to not use Amazon as most paint supplies I've bought are usually more expensive there.

Also if anyone thinks Vallejo brush on primer isn't the best, the reasons why and what you prefer would also be really handy.

Thanks in advance.

r/Warhammer•

Just a quick question for folk here. Recently I've been reading more Warhammer fantasy (read all Gotrek and Felix & several of the Warhammer chronicles omnibuses) and all my life, since I was 7 years old and playing FF7 for the first time, I seen Clouds sword and 7 year old me with sparkly star eyes thought "Woooooow swords are da coolest!"

This mindset stuck for almost 30 years. Until recently, so many knights use warhammers, I'm reading Sigmar omnibus right now, obviously uses a Warhammer and I've started realising that maybe my midlife crisis should be thinking hammers are now da coolest.

So on that note, I've only been painting models for the last year and a half-ish (although personal

As the title says, I just completed the game about 10 minutes ago and this has been my biggest complaint about the game but it is a very minor, essentially non-issue, complaint.

After beating the final boss, the cutscene of you finishing him off your characters armour and gear has changed on your sprite to Erdricks armour set. I like that, I wish it changed in game when you had the full set equipped but I didn't expect it to but I liked seeing the change.

The part that annoys me though is once you leave the castle, your sprite is suddenly back to normal for the rest of the ending. Did your character just whip it all off and toss it aside once he was done!? Why is he not kitted out anymore?

So I have decided to try out DQX, I have went through all the steps provided with on Adventurers Abbey with a few wee hiccups here and there (mostly with the account and info creation on JP Amazon & Square Enix) but everything seems to be working well. My questions are:

  1. I got everything seemingly set up properly with the translation, menu's and cutscenes etc are all in English (so far) but the start area when your selecting what race you wish to play was in Japanese. I pushed through that thinking maybe it hasn't been translated because it is just race selection. I selected Ogre, watched the cutscene, all in English but then in the starting village the NPC's are not translated. Shops are

Possible Nintendo Showing of Silksong?

SpoilerSpeculation - Silksong

Pure speculation of course as always but I just received an email from Nintendo to say you can play Hollow Knight for free until June 12th.

Never had an email from them before saying this about any other game and since a direct is due, likely around the time the game is free until, it feels like it's a way to hype up for Silksong?

r/PcBuild•

So basically as the title says I am looking for keyboard recommendations. For about 16 years now since I bought/built my first pc myself, I bought a Logitech G15 keyboard because it was reasonable price and at the time I thought that it having a wee screen to show stats in games was great.

This has turned out to be the best keyboard I have ever had, I have tried to replace it over the years but I have never had any luck, they either break really easy, keys are insanely sensitive to the point of the tiniest lightest touch would act like I held it down. So for 16 years I have continued to use the G15, it still goes strong, works almost perfect (the volume controls and skip/play/stop buttons

I just want to check and see if I'm going to have to rebuy the premium DLC. I was playing Fable 2 the other day on xbox one, downloaded it off Gamepass and that installed all the premium dlc by itself, which leads me to believe I have purchased the dlc at some point or it was included in gamepass.

I got the series s yesterday and wanted to continue playing so set up my account, downloaded Fable 2 just as I'd done on my Xbox One go to play and says DLC for previous saves is not installed. So I go and check and see the free versions haven't installed and premium I have to buy.

I have tried restarting the console, double checked on my xbox one I had the premium versions installed(I do) I hav

So just a quick question regarding my partners workplace. In around a month or so, her workplace is closing for 2 weeks due to some refurbishment/something to do with testing the power in the building. This is going to result in her workplace being closed for 2 weeks.

Now the issue I have is they are being told that this two weeks will be unpaid unless they use their holiday days. Most of the staff are paid by the hour but have contracts for a set amount of hours each week etc and they are being told this is the same for salaried management (which I personally think is likely bs to try make it sound like they are all in the same boat).

Can the company legally do this? As I feel that since

Hello.

The reason for my title is due to being pointed in this subs direction as being helpful following another post I read. But looking through other peoples post's I am not sure I am in the right sub but maybe that is just the ones I have looked at. The thread that pointed me in this direction, the op had described their dog's behavior and it was similar to my own but the post's I have looked at it appears that reactive is a term for dogs, that to an outsider may appear aggressive when that isn't the case. For me my pup is more, when she see's other people in the street or dogs she gets super excited and runs up tail going mental, tongue flapping non stop as she loves playing and gettin

r/JRPG•

I was recently just watching a Let's Play of Chrono Cross by HC Bailey and for anyone who hasn't watched him before, he basically does walkthroughs of JRPGs. He will basically shows the optimal way through the game, explaining why he does what he does, and will even mention speed run strats and show them on occasion if he feels it is something he can do.

But watching his Chrono Cross playthrough got me thinking about his other LPs and how I play these games and how I very rarely play with an optimal team or strategy. As an example in about 90 percent of his LPs Agility/Speed is the most important stat and while watching I am thinking "Yup that makes complete sense to do that" while I play t

I just got this game as it looked interesting and I very much enjoy Terraria & Starbound and it seems not too bad so far. As the title suggests though, I'm at the starter quests and at the one where it wants you to craft a planter box and build seeds. Now, like an idiot I hovered over a not great area, clicked by accident and since nothing appeared to change I didn't think anything had happened. So I cleared up the area better and when I went to place the planter box again it says I can only place one and I am unable to plant any seeds in the area I accidentally placed it previously. Is there any way for me to remove this or am I just going to have to quickly start again since I'm not re
