Hey guys.

I know, I was whining about anxiety just a couple of days ago, so I thought I'd post about something positive for a change.

Rest assured, the depression and the anxiety DOES go away. It does. I'm not lying.

Day 14 was one long, protracted day of pure panic, anxiety and depression for no reason.

Day 15 was a little better.

The last couple of days have been... better. A lot better. I smile again. I find myself having an interestin my work again. I don't overthink things. My muscles aren't tense 90% of the day.

Do I have moments when my face flushes, my shoulders tense, I start sweating and start wondering about every little thing on earth? Sure. They're still

So on a whim, nearly two weeks ago, I decided to quit snus.

I know, I know, this is the stopsmoking subreddit, but you guys have been with me during numerous quit attempts while I still smoked, so I'll post it here. The symptoms are the same anyway.

I smoked for nearly 13 years, until I stopped doing that and switched to snus (scandinavia). It's similiar to dip, except that you stick it under your lip and let the wet membranes do the absorbtion.

In a way, since it's non-intrusive to the outside world, it's almost worse than smoking. You go on a constant feed of nicotine every hour you're awake, seldom going more than 30 minutes without getting fed. But I digress.

I have tried quitt

That's an amusing tradeoff if I ever saw one.

A while back, I decided enough was enough. I was tired of being Mr. Skeletal, so I started bulking, lifting and eating. 9 months later, I'm buffer than ever, heavier than ever, my days are brighter than they've been in 15 years.

But I've lost my wit.

While I was Mr. Skeletal and depressed, I used to be able to outwit the best of them. I could come up with almost comedia-level lines, quips and remarks. I could be spontaneously funny, despite everything that said I shouldn't be able to.

I like to think that it's still in there somewhere. That the ability is still there, somewhere, but with the conduit of depression closed finally, I just ca

Hi fittit.

I've read the wiki and STFW, but I am unable to find a concise answer to this.

30, male, 174 cm 65 kgs (5'8" and 144 lbs in Freedom Units).

Started out in april on a Stripped SS 5x5 for a month, did SL 5x5 for 3 months and then switched to ICF 5x5 a month ago.

The last 2 months or so I've been constantly banging my head against the wall on almost all the lifts. I get up to certain point, fail twice, go down 10%. I get up to perhaps 2,5 kgs more than where I stalled last time, repeat.

I am technically not stalling per the definition I see everywhere, but I increase much much slower, perhaps once a week and a half instead of every workout.

My eating is in check, and I am

Two years ago, or close to it, my then girlfriend and I officially stopped. We went over to something called "snus" here in Scandinavia, because hey, at least we weren't sucking shit into our lungs amirite?

The first couple of months was a struggle, despite still getting nicotine into the system, and I sort of slipped up here and there when drinking sometimes, but overall, progress was good.

Fast forward a couple of years. Most of my then triggers had been conquered, and while I was still an addict, at least I could walk to the shops without getting winded.

This week though, I changed jobs. I was put into a couple of situations I hadn't been in since I quit, and it caught me *complete

And I suppose it's only human to feel some sort of empathy.

I mean, he's a neighbourhood tomcat, a tough old bastard that has seen a lot of fights and dents, but he's still affectionate and stuff. He sort of just walks in here when he needs a place to sleep for a while, and in return provides cuddles and purrs.

Got home from work today and I find him on my couch, tongue out and eyes a little blank, giving off mewing sounds. I figure that hey, maybe he's hurt, because he never does that. And indeed he was, both his back legs weren't working at all. I wonder how he got up onto the couch without back legs working, that must have taken something out of him I guess.

He's not my cat. I don

Sup reddit.

I'm putting this here more to try to order my thoughts on it than any hope of getting actual advice, but hey, I'll take what I can get.

29, male, living with my brother and 5 cats (I'm a sucker for poor lost strays). I work as a chemical engineer, and with great success. I'm one of those people who live for what I do, since I don't have any other main focus in my life.

Let's start at the beginning I suppose and ramble on from there. Some of this strikes me as information that might be relevant.

I was always a small and shy kid, from what people tell me. I didn't really grow any significant emotional antennea (except for crying, which I did a lot) until age 12 or so. So ye

I work in an inorganic lab, mostly handling phys. Chem and and assorted other parameters.

For each analysis we might have several control samples, with a specified value. As of right now, we track them in an excel sheet with manual input and no real bells and whistles.

This sort of works, the way it is, but it's very time-consuming to have ro input it manually. Userbase don't have enough computer skills to use an exel textfile import with any success.

Does anyone know of any software, open source or otherwise, that can chart Xbar/R, has import functions and enables some kind of warning system if certain criteria are met?

Does things like that even exist, or do I need to teach mysel

Male, 28, 58kgs, 1,74m. Skinny as a rail, always been that way. I've never ever put on weight since I've stopped growing, been hovering around 56-58 kilos since forever.

I've never really eaten much. I could eat perhaps 2 big meals a day and a lot of snacks in between. Didn't seem to affect my weight all that much.

Lately, I've kind of stopped wanting to eat. Sure, I get a least one decent meal at work just purely out of habit and consideration for my coworkers (grumpy me isn't a cheery person by and large). But in the mornings, and when I get home from work/in the evenings, I kind of just don't... want't to go through the hassle of getting up, getting food, making food.

Never had this

Where I'm from, the country is very sparsely populated, with approximately 10 cities (on our scale) and a shitload of small-ish towns.

While the larger cities have their own communities, some of the smaller cities have begun to do local startups. I've become involved in one of these. My county has around 200K residents total, and it's to those people we want to spread the word. Any advice on how to go about this? Ideas? Those of you who helped start local communities, how did you get people involved?

We've decided we want this to be a smalltime thing at first, with munches as our primary focus for the time being, to provide a low-risk entry point for people new to the game.

So, though

So I landed a job a while back doing mainly ph, conductivity, turbidity, alkalinity and colour in water. While intuition and.common sense has taken me part of the way, there isn't a very good foundation internally here for how much of this stuff actually works. What interferes and what doesnt. The quirks of sampling, airexposure, etc. I'm sure someone must have been doing this for a lifetime, and some litterature must exist apart from International standards. Does anyone know of a good primer or similiar litterature for physical-chemical analysis of water they can recommend?

Any clues would be appreciated!

As the topic says.

Recently aquired a new sub that has a major masochistic streak. She exhibits abnormal responses to pain, and her treshold isn't like anything I've ever seen before.

Now, I've got very few morals. Once the agreed upon words have been set and I've been asked to push, I'll push, not holding back.

But I'm seriously racking my brain trying to think of things that might actually hurt this girl, without injury.

I'm a bit out of my league with a sub that summarizes a heavy caning with "That's nice, can you do it some more please?" while her skin is to the point where I don't dare to hit her anymore for fear of injury.

So I have to get creative at this point, since a me

Not much needed in the way of advice, just putting it out there.

So, me and the girlfriend just AGREED to split up. Which sucks, beause mutual love just doesn't extinguish like I've usually broken up with people.

There was quite a huge age gap, with me having settled down and she having a need to do everything, all the time, preferably at the same time.

She's pretty, smart and funny, and I really really did love her.

But still we agreed that I needed an amount of attention she just couldn't give, and that neithet of us would really be happy with that. I needed attention she couldn't give, and this wasn't fair to neither of us. I became unhappy and depressed because I got too little a
