My trusted guy just closed up shop before the holidays due to a huge rent increase. Anyone know any good shops for a taco in Toronto ?
I'm a student who got into GIS after I had purchased a new school macbook pro a couple years ago. Fortunately I've been able to run parallels for ArcGIS. However I'm starting to take on bigger projects and do some work for organisations outside of school. Is it worth biting the bullet and getting a dedicated work laptop? I don't know much about computers, and don't have a crazy budget, but I can work extra shifts to afford a new laptop. Any advice / reccomendation on this front is greatly appreciated.
All the research I've done is showing that it's the Ontario Learn to Stay Program, which focuses on nursing in notrhern communities. I'm not in anything related to nursing and I live in toronto. Has anyone else got this funding recently?
For context I’m still pretty new to printing but have been making some nice RC prints, so this weekend I thought I’d try making the jump and try some fibre-based paper B&W printing. All of my prints were extremely over exposed all across my test prints. I was in the Hart House communal darkroom using a 1:9 dev. Any tips on making the jump from RC to FB paper would be awesome !
About to make a trip across the pond and see the crew play at Wasing - are they selling vinyls at the live shows or would I be better off to order online?
As a POC fan of Ben, that extra verse added into Time is Dancing really resonates at a time like this, a bit more than usual. Incredible writing, god damn it.
Nica Libres at Dusk has got to be the most beautiful song of all time. It's not even my favourite song, but it is just so damn beautiful every time it comes on!
I gave in to my cravings today
Sitting on the stones I laid
Watching starlings eat the seeds
Feasting on fruit from my tree
Watching them dance and play
Snacking on foreign displays
Neglecting their land's ability.
The starlings ate next
Nestled in my neighbours tree
Devouring all around them,
A flash of man's mockery.
I've shot a roll of portra 400 @ 800, and I know it can handle a +1 push no problem. But what if I sent the rollin to get developed one stop underexposed instead of pushing it correctly to 800? Will my images still turn out? The lab isn't doing colour pushing during covid.
