I’m working on a custom MFD of sorts for Elite Dangerous. I’m using an RP2350 to drive the panel, and planning on making it a USB HID device for the inputs (joy buttons, rotary encoders). It seems like simple outputs are easy enough with USB HID, like turning LEDs on and off.

What I’m less sure about is controlling the screen- i’d love to just allow the host to write an image to the device but at 480x320 that seems like a lot of data to send down a USB1.1 connection. My other thought is hard-coding a layout on the microcontroller and somehow treating each area of the screen like a character display (ie, have the host just send text for each part).

I don’t really know where to start for eit

Me: Furiously clicking to attack the swarm of Mosas and Megas coming to murder me

My Tuso: Turns to attack, attacks once, then turns back around. "Nah bro, this seems hard."

Pretty sure this is the reason for the Tuso's ink GTFO ability -- adding it was easier than fixing Tuso attacks.

Ok, I know all the big OS projects blow this out of the water, but I'm still pretty proud of reaching 700 commits on my solo OS project, jsix.

I didn't even realize this was going to be number 700, but it was a doozy - it's a bit of a reorg, so it touched almost every header file in the project. https://github.com/justinian/jsix/commit/4545256b49eba409814753baf4c6c8b59cdcffad

I hope you all are enjoying your projects as much as I've been enjoying this one!

Hi, first off let me say, these tools are great.. thanks! I'm really looking forward to trying them out for my new game starting next week.

I found a few bugs with the RPG sheets:

  • The overview checkbox does not seem to be working. Even after a hard refresh, the actual overview tab only contains my first tab's first section.
  • Re-ordering tabs with the drag & drop handles on the Structure tab does not change tab order - they instantly pop back to their previous order when dragged.
  • Deleting a tab does not "free" the fields inside it back into the "unassigned fields" list. Example: Because of the re-ordering bug above, I decided to just delete my "skills" tab and add it

I finally put up an antenna on my apartment porch to use with a mobile dual-band radio, and I hear a very loud buzz exactly every 30 seconds. It's much stronger than local repeater traffic, and I hear it all across the 70cm band. Up until now I've been mostly using a HT when walking to work, and have not heard this interference, though if I take the HT out next to my porch antenna it does pick it up as well.

I'm a pretty new ham, so maybe this is old hat to you guys, but do you have any thoughts on what this interference might be, or if I can filter it out?
