I notice a difference in how solipsism affects people. A lot of people are bothered by it... they feel dark and alone. Those people, in my view, are likely evolving towards a view of collective consciousness, beyond self, to regain connectivity and warm relationships with others.

Personally, adopting this metaphysical belief produces positive emotionality. I don't make deep empathic connections, and I suspect this is why I like it so much. It erases the meaning of suffering outside myself; it reduces anger/envy; it fixes the issues nihilism can bring to the mind; it pleases my desired view of self as all important.

To me, thinking others are experiencing the same objective reality as me ca

Is the egocentric brain hardwired for solipsistic metaphysics, conscious or otherwise?

If one is disconnected from human attachment and moral standards towards responsibility for the community, one perceives the self as center of the universe and the only true meaning or substance.

At the same time, individuals along this spectrum (especially towards the antisocial side) tend towards cynicism... rational materiality... seeing the world 'as it is,' beyond the comforting delusions of meaning that cultural narration pervades through the 'affectively susceptible public.'

If one examines Eastern philosophy as it relates to the idea of non-duality, we can find perhaps an attempt to reconcile an

For years now, I have postured as having some noble mission.... as having great empathy for the suffering of the world and the will to fix it.

Yet when I critically examine it, my empathy is attached to abstraction... and these abstractions always involve MY ambition to be seen as a unilateral heroic liberator. The same suffering produces no sentiment interpersonally.

It took a long time... one day waking up realizing "You strongly admire dictators, don't you? You want to commit genocide and enslavement/biological degeneration against your perceived societal enemies, don't you? You want to be Stalin while fronting like Gandhi, don't you?" And yes... I do. The thought of these brings great

When you click on the 3 dots up on the right, and the menu comes down.

A few minutes ago my "favorites" would let me guide through the menu without having to click on it. It had its own little arrow, and all the folders has their own little arrows. Those arrows are suddenly gone.

I tried to get in contact with an agent but they were "very busy." So I'm posting here.

I want my favorites to navigate with the arrows without requiring extra clicks. I want to click once.... the 3 dots up to the right, and navigate everything.

For this, I am referring generally to those with frontal lobe difficulties, as the labelling system and connotations associated with it restrict understanding. I prefer to think of the issue in brain imaging and studies. A psychopath insofar as this post is concerned is a matured neurotype with actualized competitiveness for its unique nature.

A psychopath has a brain deficiency which seriously impairs the ability to form "warm bonds," something which is demonstrated to be of the highest "mood stabilization" quality of all stimulus. Addiction to substances, adrenaline, sex, exaltation, and anger/sadism are sought to cope with mood requirements.

Affective empathy is used as operant conditio

I've always had bisexual feelings. When I was younger, accepting my sexual interest in men was a big accomplishment. All the sexual experiences I have pursued, as few as they are, were with men. I enjoyed it, but I felt a clear disconnect between sexual desire and intimate desire. I didn't find them attractive typically, and their need to be validated as attractive felt immensely awkward.

As I've transitioned further (over 2 years HRT now!), an aspect of my sexuality has awakened, which is my dormant attraction to women. Even my sexual fantasies have changed towards a fascination with the female body in a way that wasn't present before.

Thing is... this makes me feel incredibly awkward an

I am seeking good information as to whether certain traits could be construed as mania:

  1. Sudden change from fatigue and melancholy to exuberance

  2. Hardly any need for sleep

  3. Aggressive social charm compared to previous apathy. Bold eye contact and heightened nonverbal communication (e.g. warm facial expressions and confident demeanor)

  4. Hyperactive presence of mind/Less ruminative dissociation

  5. Increased obsessive tendencies

  6. Grandiose sense of self importance and ability. A sense of being "fated for greatness" and "superior to others"

  7. Sacralizing of "egocentric mysticism" despite previous cynicism and materialism

  8. Heightened enjoyment of all sensory sti

I'm working on a research paper regarding empathy, and I've been struggling to understand the definition. Ostensibly, it appears to describe a rationalization of human conditions beyond your own, such as being able to understand logically that someone getting fired will likely feel frustrated, distraught, and possibly angry.

However, if one researches the behavior associated with individuals with empathetic deficits, it appears as though the conception of empathy is not a rationalization but instead an innate emotional "contagion," regarding such things as "naturally feeling sad at the misfortune of others" or "innately feeling joy vicariously through another's positive experi

Hi! I would be incredibly grateful to anyone who can give me some answers on this one.

A vase contains 52 colored marbles:

13 purple

13 blue

13 orange

13 red

You pay 1$ to draw three. If you draw 3 marbles of the same color, you win 9 to 1. Otherwise you lose.

When 51 marbles have been drawn, the vase is refilled. This process occurs indefinitely.

Early in my transition, I caved. I was sexually pent up and went online to find a guy.

At first, it was great, although I have never gone past oral tbh. It was not only validating to my preferred gender, it felt genuinely amazing. It was the first time I had been sexual as female, and I can't describe the fire that occurred when that engine turned on....

Our conversations are ultimately him failing to grasp the overall point of what I say and instead to latch on to unrelated tangents like "Oh...that reminds me of that one

MtF here

I just wanted to reach out to the community because I've been very isolated in my transition.

Right before I started transitioning I was dealing with couch surfing homelessness, and the next few months basically removed me from having access to the internet, although I had at least found a steady place to live.

I'm transitioning closeted, basically. I live where I work, and the culture is conservative here. One co-worker that I have been willing to confide in told me the last transgender person who worked here (whowas FtM) was not viewed very positively. I have a lot of anxiety about this because I'm rather visibly growing breasts at this point. Any time I want to leave my house

It has been a hard fought battle. I've barely managed to literally survive the past few months.

Out of the chaos, somehow the best of all possible worlds opened up for me. I have many people to thank for it and am deeply grateful. I have a job I love every minute of (actually relating to my college major...can you believe it?) and a huge private residence that costs me nearly nothing.

This Tuesday or Wednesday, I'm going to PP as a walk in (they told me I could) and getting the blood test.

I don't believe in karma, but if it exists, fate must have weighed my suffering over the years and finally apportioned me happiness to compensate.

Hopefully, a year from now, you'll be seeing my timel
