Taken from r/Chicago - anywhere you've wound up that was somehow just as bad or worse the second time around.

I'm going to start running this campaign soon, starting at level 5.
When joking about party comp, my group seemed interested in doing an "Oops All Barbarians" group, but I'm skeptical of their commitment to the bit long-term.
So I proposed an alternative - a planned prologue of doomed Barbarians venture into Chult and discover/uncover something about the nature of the Death Curse or other threads of the story, but at a very heavy cost - only 1 or 2 of the 6 PCs would (seemingly) make it out alive.
The remaining player would then be a source of intel for actually kicking off the adventure in Baldurs Gate as written, and join this 2nd group of expeditioners for the real adventure. Unfortu
Moving to Columbus in a few months and wondering if there's anywhere to get a decently authentic Chicago Italian Beef.
I see Loops and Tasty Dawg as potentially the closest to authentic? The few other places that claim to have one seem to get the details wrong (provolone?) .
I need my Chicago natives to weigh in - I don't expect a Mr. Beef level of perfection, but something Portillo's-tier would hit the spot.
Boyz 2 Men crew, stay away.
I'll be running the Alexandrian Remix, starting with a tweaked version of the Escape from Elturgard AL adventure. The characters will be in a caravan on the road to Elturel when the city dissappears before their eyes.
Anyway, all five players independently picked chaotic neutral as their alignment.
I can't say I'm too surprised knowing my group (they're not outright murderhobos, but definitely tend toward morally opportunistic characters). I'm just concerned that the adventure may require them to be more heroic than characters of that alignment would want to be.
I do have some personal hooks and motivation for them to find Elturel or keep Baldur's Gate from b
Spoilers for the released episodes so far. (I've read the first 3 books, but don't remember much at all)
In Episode 1, Lan finds a bunch of animal carcasses arranged into a weird shape - almost like a kidney with a tail. It's how he knows that there are trollocs nearby before the attack on the village.
In Episode 3, Nynaeve kills the trolloc in the pool, and its blood spreads through the pool in the exact same shape before the scene cuts.
The first time seemed intentional (as in the trollocs placed them there, in that way, for some reason). But the second time is coincidental and only for show viewers - it's not like a dead creature controls how they bleed out. So it seems like it must
I just put together a tall Billy/Oxberg bookcase.
Two issues with getting it mounted to the wall:
- The baseboard cutout is just barely too short for my baseboard - 1/4 inch or so, which is preventing it from leaning flush against the wall.
- It's an old house and the floor is not level, so the bookcase is also leaning forward.
Recommendations for a set of short, adjustable legs/feet I could screw into the bottom?
If Chez Jacksonville means anything to your party, please stop reading.
Looking for advice on how to make this one-shot fun and interesting - here's the context:
The party Rogue has been recruited by a crimelord (Wildemount's The Gentleman) to traffic four imprisoned magic users to a particular location. He can hire a crew to help him. The rest of the party does not want to be the crew, for various reasons...including that one of those four prisoners is the party wizard's sister.
The party instead came up with a plan to ambush the traffickers along the road, freeing the prisoners and giving plausible deniability to the Rogue for failing to deliver the "cargo."
Here's where the one-shot

These bands often have really upbeat, groovy basslines, dominantly part of the music, but pair it with an otherwise more emotional, melancholic sound. I find that particular combination pretty rare, but really like it when I find it.
Edit: Here are a couple examples:
Mutemath, Sun Ray (or really anything on Odd Soul especially)
