Staying in a hotel for a while, and Canada Post is telling people to avoid using FlexDelivery so would rather not order online.

Copper Hat sells them but is currently closed except for mail order. Based on their website, BC Shaver & Hobbies appears to not sell shaving stuff at all.

(Yes I've tried other brands, but only Feather works for me)

Edit: I'm all set, thank you u/MrPrime!!

I want to import a georeferenced PDF from here for use as a map layer.

I tried Layer --> Add Layer --> Add Raster Layer, and it appears in the Layers list, but QGIS freezes up after that.

If I convert to GeoTIFF with https://mygeodata.cloud, it imports just fine.

Is there a better way to import a geoPDF directly?

I'm using QGIS 3.4.3-Madeira on Linux, if that makes any difference.

I have 10cm-resolution LIDAR data for an area. Viewing the point cloud in ArcScene, you can pretty clearly identify the canopies of the larger trees.

I thought it would be cool to 3D-print this, but when I convert to a TIN (for eventual export to a STEP 3D model) I lose all the definition and it just becomes lumps, like you draped a blanket over the shape.

Is there a way to go from point cloud to 3D-printable model that would preserve the tree shapes better?

I'm looking for a low-cost drone to play with mapping and photogrammetry, but mostly so I can get hours in to qualify for Transport Canada certification.

Can you offer any comments on this setup and/or confirm that all the parts would work together:

  • F450 knockoff kit, $120USD

  • Turnigy 9x transmitter + receiver combo from HobbyKing, $64USD

  • Turnigy Graphene Professional 4000mAh 4S 15C LiPo battery, $38USD

  • "Storm32" 3-axis gimbal from eBay, $60USD
