I finally had to look at the TWaB to see what the hell was going on. Makes for an unfun time if you're just looking for a match over lunch, but I guess it is what it is.

Title edit: They are not fun "to manage"
I don't get it. The obvious alternative is to have "goals" (or whatever) for each activity or location you are currently at, instead of a glimmer sink you need to micromanage.
What function do they serve that I'm missing? Not picking up Salad bounties prior to going into IB feels bad (man), and I'm not seeing the rationale aside from Let's All Learn To Love Bureaucratic Functions.
Fusion main, and I apologize for that in advance.
The 1s charge time on high-impacts feels pretty bad right now, given that you're really hanging yourself out there waiting for it to charge for that long. Maybe it will feel more natural over time, like I just need to adjust my peek timing or re-learn where the rising voop sound is signalling the bolt fire, but so far it has been a bit of a bust. Kills seem easy-ish assuming you can get the bolts off as the grouping of 5 feels fairly tight (which agrees with the theory that range is going to be a more important stat now), but that charge time tho.
Anyone had some time to play with these and has a differing opinion/tips or tricks to share?
On PC: if you disable the in-game music, that blast when you first start the game is disabled as well
On PlayStation: disabling the in-game music doesn't change anything about the intro sound
Can we have a bit more control over whether or not we hear that?
also: promote the person who decided a blinding white intro screen wasn't a good gaming experience
also also: punish the f-ing person who thinks every new season's intro sounds need to be equivalent to the Battle of Jericho
I call it "The Turret", or "Stand There and Take It".
I'm trying to figure out how to use pieces in my stash that feel like they should be useful but kinda haven't been so far. One of those is Devil's Due, mostly because even when Perfect, Clutch feels pretty weak.
So, I dragged it, Sawyer's Kneepads (which are in the same boat; outside of a marksman build I run these don't get much use) and some other assorted bits out to try to make something useful. And it's pretty solid! I feel like I'm just a little bit of survivability away from really being able to scream a la First Blood through the streets of DC. Or at least stand in one place and scream.
Also: this is a riff on Patrick Wolf's i
Has it always been this way? Now I feel silly.
Got a Rock n' Roll as a bonus item from a Conflict cache.
Until something new comes along, I'm trying out some pieces in my stash that look good but maybe haven't gotten the "meta" love. I've always wanted to have a build that was a little more "run and gun", so... The Skirmisher:
Spec: Firewall
Weapons:
Sweet Dreams (or insert favourite shotgun here), Pyromaniac (or insert favourite AR here)
Armour:
Chest - Zero F's (for the "oh shit" moments)
Backpack - something with Opportunistic
Holster - Imperial Dynasty
Gloves - Deathgrips
Knees/Mask - Badger Tuff/Fenris (see below)
There's some flexibility in how you lay out the brands; in my case I had a great Badger pack with Opportunistic (which was one of the inspirations for this build), but
OK - I main a fusion in pretty much every Destiny event I can. I think I know how they work, but a few recent YouTube videos and posts on this forum make me want to ensure my understanding is correct. Can anyone help point out the errors in these statements, if present?
Range: impacts the point where bolt spread starts to occur. Higher range = tighter spread. (related question: do FRs have damage drop-off?)
Stability: the down>up travel of the gun as the bolts are fired.
Zoom: pushes the bolt spread start point out further.
Bolt speed is not an adjustable value (i.e. you cannot make them go faster).
Have I got all this right? Thanks!
I just stumbled upon this today, and didn't see any other posts about it so my apologies if it's already been talked about to death.
So, shock ammo - it always bugs me that it doesn't do damage over time to human enemies, but... it does to robotics! Warhounds (Big Dogs) and mini-tanks will suffer the same ratio of DoT (it looks like, anyways; roughly 8-10%) from shock ammo as how bleed works on human enemies. This damage is applied directly to health regardless of whether or not you've cracked the Warhound's armour.
Not gonna change your life, but another tool in the arsenal. Enjoy!
Any idea what these keyboards are interact-able for? This is in the laboratory section of the invaded Space Administration Headquarters mission. On the second floor of the first section (before you hit the roof) there was a keyboard that could be interacted with, then a door in the lab allowed me to Input Code. Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I wasn't able to find much via search. Thanks!

Edit: well, at least I'm not the only one... I guess searching for "space administration keyboards" wasn't specific enough: [https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/comments/b9yb6n/space_administration_secret_room_heeelllppp/
The invulnerability mechanic (when bosses go !!!) is lazy design in my opinion. Just give them multiple armour kits if you want them to be tanky, similar to Hunters, but... giving them some magic where they shrug a bit and can take a TAC-50 bullet to the face with no effect? Uh... come on. We deserve better.
As titled - had it drop from the weekly project. I'm guessing it's part of the same pool that the +3/+4 Control Points draw blueprints from, as others have reported it dropping from those.

Hi all,
Anyone found gear with this talent? I've found all of one holster, and before I create more backpacks I'd like to determine if it can even roll on them. Thanks!
Edit: ugh, well at least based on the feedback I know I'm not the only one having a bitch of a time finding this perk. Sorry project, not gonna finish you this time. :(
I wrote this up for another poster, but figured it might be helpful for other folks:
- Log into TD2 the platform you have the most shields on.
- Claim all rewards through the Ubisoft Club page in-game. This is the important part. The Club is accessed from the pause menu, bottom left option (the button says [Ubisoft logo] CLUB). On PC I had to select the Rewards option and a special uPlay screen appears; on PS4 a different menu appears and all the rewards are in a grid.
- Go to TD2 on the platform you want the shield rewards on but didn't complete.
- Check your stash.
I did 12 shields on PS4 and only 4 on PC. I now have all the 12 shield rewards on PC. Good luck!
Edit:
So firstly, what a pain. Jeers to devs who geofence their content.
The way I did was as follows, and based on the number of crashes I received, your mileage may vary. Also, there are a probably some places where actual personal information leaks through to Facebook, so if that's not your thing, don't do this.
- Have an Android device, with developer options unlocked.
- Install a VPN, and connect to a European server. I used Windscribe.
- Install a GPS spoofing Android app. I used GPS Emulator.
- Install Messenger, and create a dummy Facebook account. Just using your phone number is not enough; you need to have an actual Facebook account created.
- Using the GPS spoofer, set your locat
