I moved to NYC from the Bay Area where I used to go to some really good third-wavey coffee roaster cafes (Verve, Chromatic, Devout, Blue Bottle before they were cool). So far, I haven't really found any place in Manhattan that matches that style and quality (lots of light and floral/fruity or natural processed coffees, emphasis on pourover and single origin espresso). Blue Bottle in NYC seems decent, but they're an SF roaster and weren't even my favorite in the area when I lived there. What are some good local roasters with cafes I should check out (bonus points for locations in midtown or UWS)? The best I've tried to date was Black Press coffee in upper west, which serves Parlor coffee (Bro

For some reason, I couldn't find this information. The closest official answer I could find is "it depends on the college offering the class." I'm taking a CS class as a free elective pass/fail (it doesn't count toward my degree requirements other than free elective). Is the "passing" grade a 70 or 60?

I bought a ticket for the Hannibal Buress show through the techstuff website. I got a confirmation message, and the ticket shows up under the "Your Account" link on the website, but I didn't get any sort of printable ticket or indication for where to pick one up. Do I just use my buzzcard as a ticket?

I recently received a Cuisinart CBM-18N as a gift. Previously, I used a Hario Mini-Mill with my old Gaggia Classic (I'm on a limited budget). I've experimented with all of the "espresso" settings on the Cuisinart, but the espresso comes out way too quickly at every setting, and there's usually no crema. Are there any modifications I can make or unconventional settings I can use that will make the Cuisinart function at least as well as the Mini-Mill? The Mini-Mill produces a decent shot, but it would be nice if I didn't have to spend 5 minutes manually grinding to make a double shot.

Edit: I've been using kinda old beans for my

Does anyone know how to find cumulative GPA distribution (preferably by year, major)? (e.g. percentage of students whose cumulative GPA is between 3.0 and 3.5 or something like that). The closest I could find is this, but it's only per-term letter grades. I'd like to find out how my overall GPA compares to others in my class or major.

This is probably a really common question, but my google/reddit searching skills didn't give me a great answer. I've never done really badly in a class before, so I've never had to think about this. What does dropping a class (after the first week drop period) and getting a 'W' mean, in a practical sense? Will it affect my GPA? Will potential employers care? Is this a common thing, or am I a complete and total failure as a human being? Thanks, everyone!

For several days, I've had a notification with the download icon saying "Additional file for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City." I've tried rebooting, canceling the download and starting over, and trying a better internet connection. Nothing has helped. Has anyone else had this issue?

I have an 8gb wifi Nexus 7.
