Hello hockey fans, and happy game 7. I've been an on-and-off NHL enjoyer since I was in middle school. I love all sports, really, but sadly just don't have time to watch/follow everything, and since I came to hockey later than some others it just never really stuck as something I followed year after year. That said, I'm watching game seven right now with my buddy who played youth hockey, and we're reminiscing about Corey Perry's career, trying to remember all the Cup teams he played for, and I realized that the 2021 Cup was played between two Eastern Conference teams, which broke my brain. MLB is my favorite of the major north american sports, and I can't imagine an AL/AL or NL/NL world seri

Hello all, first time poster here. I am planning a birthday surprise for my girlfriend at the end of the month, and kicking around the idea of a hotel/bnb stay at the end of the month. I like the idea of getting us a room (hotel or BnB) somewhere beautiful. We have spent some time in Cold Springs and New Paltz, and loved both, so I figured some more time in the region could be nice. I have a few questions, and suggestions would be much apprecaited! What I'll do is list out some of my thinking and provide some context, so that you can see what I'm aiming for. To anyone who actually takes the time to ready and rpely to this, thank you a ton.

It’s been a bit of Jekyll and Hyde season for the Red Sox. Lots of good exciting developments/narratives, lots of disheartening developments. One of the former: Chris Martin’s season. In 53 appearances and 49.1 innings pitched (as of today), he has walked only eight and given up only six earned runs. In the 35 innings he’s pitched since June 9, he’s given up exactly one earned run. He’s rocking a 1.12 ERA. He is 37 years old.
Hello all. New here. I first started following prem when I was in middle school. Arsenal are my team because my childhood best friend's family were supporters, and he and I got into it together. Followed pretty heavily through the middle of high school, but I haven't kept up the last couple of seasons. However, this summer I watched Euros and Gold Cup, and want to get back into prem this season. I've been lurking on the sub for the last couple of weeks, so I'm seeing lots of transfer rumors, but I'm not that familiar with our current squad or some of the names everyone is throwing around, so I'm feeling a bit lost.
Anything I should know about the state of the squad, and prem in general, wo
Hello r/2cb. First time posting here, although I've dropped by a few times. Just rolled for the first time last night (had an amazing experience). Curious about the waiting period for doing 2cb after MDMA. From what I understand, it's best to wait some time between MDMA doses. How does 2cb fit in? I'm not planning on doing it in the next few days, but an opportunity could present itself in the next couple of weeks. Is it ideal to wait a couple of months to do 2cb after MDMA, or does it not matter? Any advice/info would be appreciated.
Hello r/espresso. First time posting here. I've been brewing coffee for a few years now, but I have been working exclusively with filter/immersion methods like V60, Aeropress, Chemex, etc. I quite like espresso and espresso-based drinks, but I've just never gotten into pulling shots myself. Part of the reason for this is just gear-related. I already have so much gear, and have spent so much money, that it's hard for me to justify buying a nice machine and opening the espresso floodgates. However, I recently came across the flair manual espresso makers, and I'm very intrigued. While I wouldn't describe these guys as cheap, they're certainly more affordable, and more practical in terms of si
HEAR ME OUT before you freak because obviously fuck the Yankees and it was really great watching them scuffle along for two weeks. BUT I love when we're competitive with them. I love beating the Yankees, but I love it most when the games really matter. I'll happily take a tight division race with great baseball down the stretch.
Basically what the title says. I have a coffee mostly dialed in, I'm really liking my results, but I am getting some slight dryness/astringency which I would love to get away from. My temperature is as low as I want to take it, so my options are: coarsen up, shorten my brew time, lessen my agitation. Does anyone have any thought on which of these might be best at reducing astringency? I know any of the three will reduce my extraction in some capacity, but will one of them be better at simply mitigating the dryness in the mouth while leaving the cup's desirable traits intact?
Y'all ... anyone listen to the Talkin' Baseball episode from this Friday? First off, they had some good things to say about the Sox (rightfully so). But more importantly, they pointed out how hilarious our BRef page is. I've seen all our guys' photos of course, but looking at them lined up is actually fucking jokes. Highly recommend.
I've been an on-and-off Aeropress user for a while. When I first got into brewing a while ago, I never had good results with Aeropress. Then I didn't touch it for like two years, and now I'm back brewing with it. I tried a bunch of WAC recipes and had mostly mixed feelings. Lots of sour, under-extracted brews. After that, I shelved the brewer again, moved to NYC, and left it behind in Los Angeles. Obviously, Hoffmann's recipe has been long anticipated. I've loved his whole series on the Aeropress, so much so that I had my mother (bless her soul) ship my Aeropress to me. Since it's arrived, I've been using it exclusively, only with the Hoffmann method (slight tweaks). Some really good cups, b
If you could watch any era of MLB, what would it be?
Watching the Braves and the Cubs rn, and just heard the above question posed by the dudes in the Braves booth. Thought it was a good question, wanted to pose it here.
For me, I'm tempted to say 1990s. I was born in 2000, so that era might be a little close to now, but it's always the era that I look back on the most.
