Be nice. No personal attacks, no name calling, no bullying. Exercise empathy. Respect boundaries. No slurs. No victim-blaming.

When you comment, assume a context of abuse to all posts. What does this mean? OR Why is this a rule?

In this subreddit assume the user knows what NC is and they have either tried or considered it. This is a subreddit for abuse victims that are still stuck with their abusers, whether it is their parents, friends, SOs, relatives, etc. Do NOT recommend going NC or leaving. This is for a place for people that can't leave for whatever reason.

Comments or posts that are hurtful or made without a basic understanding of the rules or subject matter discussed here will be removed.

No diagnosis by media or drive-by diagnosis. Media stories and articles often give an incomplete or one sided take on a event or person, as such please only post about people you know well personally.

No direct linking to anywhere on reddit outside of the RBNNetwork - if you want to bring something up in a discussion or start a discussion link through np.reddit.com or screenshots that blacks out personal information.

#If you see anyone breaking our rules, please report them. Help us keep our boundaries.
