Novel Translation: How Dare You
Ep 19: The Yan people are sent a note telling them that the emperor is going to Mount Bei but they don't trust the information. The Empress Dowager sends men to kill the Yan group and the royal guards (emperor), they fight back. The Yan group kills the remaining royal guards and goes to Mount Bei. It turns out they did turn Xie Yonger! She sent a secret warning revealed by fire warning them about the assassination attempt. They just found it too late.
The Empress Dowager is being creepy, we see flashbacks of the Yan Shanyi being sent to assassinate Xiahou Dan and him being drugged so the Empress Dowager has a grandson (I can't believe they kept that part!). He laughs (insanely) after her speech and asks if she's going to install a new puppet. Outside, that creepy evil maid of the Empress Dowager is killed by the Yan group and the people rejoice. Unfortunately they are trying to kill Xiahou Dan too.
There is a battle, Xiahou Dan uses his gun and Mr. Bei switches to male form for the fight. Xiahou dan is stabbed and Yu Wanuin feels it because SOULMATES

Yu Wanuin uses the token Yonger gave her to get past Prince Duan's guards. Scholar Yang is also trying to get help. Xiahou Dan is doing a good job with his gun but his lips are the colour of foundation and we know that is a bad sign.
Baby Diary! Little Dan is crowned and the Empress Dowager leads him to the throne. It transitions to his older self. (so maybe we are done with baby tales of horror)
Ep 20: Yu Wanuin's group is surrounded in a very orderly fashion
Mr. Bei and Tu'er fight. Xiahou Dan realizes he's out of bullets and is probably going to die. He has a Romantic Flashback. His wound is still bleeding. He passes out but then wakes up at the sound of gunfire. Wanuin made it! She does First Aid (ineffectively because how dare you!? reach into a man's upper ropes! Treat the stab on top of the clothes, yes yes)

They capture Prince Tu'er, who says that the dagger was poisoned so Xiahou Dan will die. Scholar Yang is having trouble mobilizing the guards, they arrest him instead. Prince Tu'er reveals that he killed the envoy they sent to Yan. We see this as a flashback. Xiahou Dan stands up and kills one of the Yan people, who are laughing about the death. Xiahou Dan is distraught over Wang Zhao (the envoy's) death:

Xiahou Dan tells Prince Tu'er that his father was playing him. The emperor of Yan sent Shanyi to die so the war would continue and sent Tu'er this time so he would give them more cause to fight. Xiahou Dan says both of them are puppets who have been controlled, but they should take their power back. (the Empress Dowager sneaking around in the background is so funny to me)
Scholar Yang is trying to convince his guard to betray the commander. The party at the mausoleum hides underground because more troops are coming. They are trying to batter down the entrance...
Correction: When I checked MDL a while ago, it said that the current Crown Prince and Little Dan were played by different child actors, now it doesn't say at all and Drama Wiki says they are the same actor. So probably the same actor as people suspected.
Context from the novel (no real spoilers, just more info): >!Xiahou Dan wasn't sleeping with anyone in his harem because he suspected he'd be killed if he had a son. The only reason the Empress Dowager hasn't killed him yet is because Prince Duan has too much power and could take the throne. I don't know if they will show the death of Shanyi at this point, but XHD kindly let her sleep in his bed because she said she'd be killed otherwise. Then she tried to kill him in his sleep. He survived because he'd set up a crossbow mechanism. !<
