I have a five hour drive tomorrow!!!
I'm jealous, I have only a 1.5 hour flight tomorrow. Saving it for a 9 hour flight coming up in December, probably casually re-listen to 1 and 2 until then
I was disappointed when I couldnt use it for my 6 hour flight down on Monday, but now its perfect for my 6 hour flight back on Saturday

Yeah I was about to say, there seems to be no real meaningful discussion about the episode in this thread yet. Personally I’m 2 hours in.
Most threads are like this on this sub. I think the length of the episodes are so long that by the time one drops and you've listened to 3-5 hours of content there has been at least that much time for shitposting to fill the thread which discourages actual discussion. It would be neat if the mods released 2 threads a hype thread where people just post memes and say how excited they are to listen to the episode and a thread where top level comments had to be about the content of the episode.
I'm about an hour and a half in and loving it.
I spent two hours listening to part 2 on the website because I had to drop for a few and picked up when I got to my computer.
Spent a full hour getting grouchy saying “is he really doing Pearl Harbor AGAIN?!”

I’m thinking 5. But 6 is possible. As American history graduate, I know little of Eastern history. So this is fantastic to be able to see these events from the Japanese point of view.
