I (26f) left my house in South Carolina to come home to California to give my husband(26) the time to find a therapist because he needs to change, our relationship has been draining for me since the beginning of the year, I have felt manipulated, gaslit, etc.

I came to California, I’ve only been here for 4 days but my husband’s lack of urgency to find a therapist is upsetting me. I have asked multiple times for him to get help (we’ve been married for a little over a year now) and this has been the final straw where I’ve told him, “this is crucial and it’s make or break for our marriage.”

Are there any happy endings to this?

I’m truly wondering if it ever does/will get better. I also wonder if you leave your PA , if there’s any actual men who aren’t PA. I’m so fed up with it all

I feel so depressed and have no friends. I’m so tired and exhausted. I would appreciate if I can reach out to someone

I haven’t been married long, I’ve been married for a year and a half. We got married fast. I think it’s heading to the end honestly.

I have put up with so much and I’m at a breaking point

I set boundaries while dating, that I personally don’t appreciate porn use in the marriage because yes, it makes me insecure and uncomfortable. He told me he wouldn’t. Well guess what, he lied about it for the whole year and told me this year he has an addiction to it. But I’ve stood by and supported him. He “works on it” through a 12 step program at church. I can’t get over the lies and betrayal trauma it’s left me

When we fight, he hits his head when he’s mad and has one time punched the wall in fro

Hey everyone, I’ve been making posts in here because I finally feel like I’ve found a group of like-minded people, and I can’t even express how much of a relief it has been.

I was only a Christian for two(?) years, and although I won’t say I have religious trauma, I definitely felt the impact and realize the toxicity looking back, how it changed who I truly am as a person, the way I viewed people/laws. I’m horrified. It turned me into someone I’m not. I could make another post about what ultimately broke me down to leave Christianity, it was a horrible experience (the experience itself was traumatic, I will say that).

I feel sorry for those of you born and raised into this who have left

Here’s my original post https://www.reddit.com/r/exchristian/s/X9F1mseu2J

Last night, he started crying and told me he realizes he’s been handling all of this incorrectly. He said he was choosing religion over relationship and he regrets how he reacted.

I asked him if he could redo what he’d tell me after me disclosing my confusion about Christianity, what would his new response be? He said the following :

“I would tell you that your doubts don’t scare me, I would not pressure or force you into Christianity. I would let you know you’re safe with me. I won’t leave you no matter where your faith is at, whether you believe in God or reach a point where you don’t believe in God. I married y

I told my husband last night I’m not sure what I believe anymore. We moved to South Carolina last year. I (26f) was born without religion, my husband (26) was born into Christianity. When we met, I was into crystals and spirituality and it wasn’t an issue at the time. But after a while of dating, I decided to try becoming Christian.

After being in South Carolina for a year, we have been heavy into church, groups, church events, etc. We grew very close to God. I swore I felt God’s presence, He was speaking to me, I felt the “high” during worship, etc. But I always had a lingering fear in the back of my mind, “How do we actually know God is real?”

I would be scared of evolution videos beca

I don’t know what to do, I just need support

For context : I moved out of state to be with my husband last year, and I still have no support , family or friends here. It’s just my husband.

My husband admitted to me last year that he has a PA. At first I thought everything was going to be okay and work out, but I am not so sure anymore

It’s the lying for me, I have literally asked him multiple times “when was the last time you engaged in watching it?” And he lies so effortlessly to my face because “he doesn’t want to hurt me” yet I STILL find out the truth.

Last night , he openly admitted that he had caved in and watched it the previous night. I was handling the conversation with grace … until I asked him AGAIN, “be honest with me

I (26/f) am officially 4 years sober tomorrow. I started drinking at the age of 15 and had abused it since the age of 21, almost 22. I have been through some awful things, things I never thought I would heal from, and many that I am still healing from today. The work. never. ends.

I would drink to the amount of overdose, day in and day out. How I lived and survived, it’s beyond me. But as I go into tomorrow to 4 years of being clean, clear headed, and healthy, I am just so very thankful. It is entirely possible. But the work never ends, and it is a lifelong commitment. I love this lifelong commitment. God bless everyone and I am here if anyone needs advice or encouragement.

Feeling Down

Need to Vent

Welllll I am not going to dive into any details of political parties or anything, I’m just wondering if anyone else is nervous about WW3 happening? Idk if this is a common worry in general with our spouses being in the military, but I guess because the world just seems like it keeps getting scarier, i just can’t shake the fear. I (f26) also was hoping to start a family in the next 4 years with him… ugh. I just feel really down and anxious.
