I have a set of Redhat 8 machines I'm working on a VMWare to Azure migration for, following the guidance here -

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/linux/redhat-create-upload-vhd?tabs=rhel89VMware

For most of them it worked fine, but for one specific machine I'm getting a bizarre issue happening frequently (but not every single time) when I try to bring it into Azure that I can't seem to figure out. After making the settings changes, on boot it enters the Dracut emergency console with the following messages:

Warning: /dev/mapper/rhel-root does not exist
Warning: /dev/rhel/rootrootdelay=300 does not exist

That Rootdelay=300 was a line we added to GRUB_CMDLI

Hello! I'm a new player and loving the game so far. I've been slowly learning about all the features in it, exploring while doing the nation quests, and just having a blast doing things like spending a night alone and scared in a dungeon. I've just reached level 30 so I know I'm still super early in.

What I'm wondering is if there are any core gameplay loops of sorts that I'm missing. I'm lightly using the 1-119 guide to get a feel for the major points to do - like unlocking mounts and subjobs, doing RoE quests for currency/xp/general goals, collecting trusts, and a bunch of other minor collection things to flesh out my character's life in Vana'diel. But outside of the nation quests, I

I will unabashedly exclaim my love for Eureka and Bozja. Alongside blue mage I think it's the best content in the game, both the overworld and the raids. I know a lot of people may just enjoy the raids while they don't find playing in the zones themselves nearly as fun. In either case, since it's confirmed that something is coming with Dawntrail I'm wondering what people might want to see carried forward or changed from BA and DRS (and CLL/Dal/DRN to a lesser extent). Figured I might share some of my thoughts and see what other people who are planning on hitting it are looking forward to.

Things I really want to see carried forward

Edit: It was The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice, with me misremembering "I can't take my mind off of you". Thanks for the help!

I'm trying to remember a song I heard in the mid-2000s that was sung by a soft voice, and while I can't remember if it was male or female I'm leaning toward male. I distinctly remember the chorus/repeated lyrics of "I can't get you out of my head, can't keep you off of my mind... my mind, my mind" repeated at the end like that. I might be mixing up the "get you out of" and "keep you off of". It was a type of singing where the music continued playing and the singer just spoke up sporadically with lines like that.

I thought it might've been Ben Folds or Sufjan

I have a very simple setup - a 16 bay SuperMicro running FreeNAS 11.3U5 currently with 2TB disks as my central home storage. It's just file storage, and nothing fancy about it.

I've started a process of upgrading the disks to 8TB (following the procedure here, but as I'll need 16 this is an expensive pursuit all at once so I'm slowly purchasing them and replacing the 2TB drives. However, I have a set of 8 4TB drives from my previous machine. Could I use these as a mid-point?

Basically, once I have 8 of the drives at 8TB, start replacing the remaining ones with 4TB leaving me

Hello,

I've recently upgraded my NAS to a larger server and to transfer from my old Freenas box I used a one time snapshot, like you might do if you were setting up a backup server, since it seems to work pretty cleanly.

The transfer completed so I now have what appears to be a copy of the data on both sides, and the sizes match up (17.79TB on one side, 17.8TB on the other). But before I delete the snapshot and start working with this as my primary system I'd like to see what the best practices would be to verify there wasn't any corruption during the transfer.

Thinking I could use rsync to verify the files on both sides, but wondering if there's anything deeper I could do to verify n

This past year we've gotten a lot of professional work done in our house including a set of LED ceiling lights. Today I found that the lights wouldn't turn on. At first I feared an issue with the wiring or some water incursion (we have a really old home and have constantly fought water coming in during storms, and there is a big storm today).

I checked with a multimeter and saw that the switch had power, and all other lights on the same circuit worked. So after doing some research I readjusted the Lutron brand dimmer switch on them using the method I saw online - set dimmer to lowest setting, set adjustment screw to lowest setting, turn light on and then increase adjustment screw until I'

Hi all,

Running FreeNAS-11.3-U5.

I run my home NAS using FreeNAS with a single pool in RaidZ2. I found yesterday that the pool was showing as degraded due to numerous errors on one of my disks:

Device: /dev/da0 [SAT], 128 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors
Device: /dev/da0 [SAT], 128 Offline uncorrectable sectors

The extended SMART test also shows the error:

Well, not an actual speed run but skipping and spam clicking through everything.

I've already done and enjoyed the Hildibrand questline but am levelling a character in another region, so since I saw comments after the relic weapon announcement talking about how long it takes to get through the quest if all you care about is completion I figured it was a good chance to get an actual timing. Here you go:

0:00: Start ARR
0:01: Reached the FATE that you have to do at the start of the questline
0:17: Started FATE (I sat around doing other stuff waiting for it to pop, could probably have actually cleared out other FATES to make this faster)
0:45: Battle on the Big Bridge unlocked, ran it

I'm looking to buy a new stepper motor (and lead screw? I think they're essentially a unit) for my Photon S. I can't find many options but can find plenty listed for the original Photon (like this from FEPShop, for example https://fepshop.com/shop/parts/anycubic-photon-stepper-motor-with-leadscrew/), are these easily compatible? I know when I was doing some research a while ago there was talk about a collar that the original had which doesn't exist on the Photon S or something of the sort, so I can't tell if these are two different parts.

Thanks!

Hey all,

I was cleaning up my CR10S-Pro after a bad failed print today and I noticed that the screw for the thermistor on the heat block wasn’t in all the way. Like a dumbass, I tightened it without reading up on if I even should.

I can see that as expected now, I immediately started having an issue with the thermistor shorting and reading 300 degrees even if it was completely cool. I saw on someone’s troubleshooting post that they mentioned loosening the screw to fix it, so I did the same. Backed the screw out around as far as I think it was and it’s working again now seemingly without issue.

My question is - do I need to make any additional adjustments now? Is it a simple “short-not s

I imagine there'll be some confusion from new players and those who haven't read the discussions back when it was released about why they just yeeted the eyes over the edge of a bridge.

It's generally recognized by the Ishgardians that the eyes are indestructible - which is why Estinien didn't just destroy them in The Singularity Reactor and instead talked about taking them "far beyond the reach of man and dragon both." Along with this, the Sea of Clouds below Ishgard is mentioned in various side lore as being basically completely inhospitable. A churning eternal cyclone of wind and ice aether that nobody can make their way into.

Knowing both of these, tossing them into that place was ac

Edit: Just as an update in case someone finds this in a google search 10 years from now, it ended up working fine. As mentioned in a response to someone the progress seemed to glitch out in multiple ways - not only was it showing the whole amount of disk space to sync, but it stopped progressing after 99.something gigs even though I could see network traffic and data still flowing onto the backup device for the remaining 14.1TB. So I think the initial seed's progress bar was just hopeless from the beginning.

I left it to run and it finished up just as I hoped - very little space remaining on my backup device for now but full snapshot replication showing as complet

Hey all,

I don't have an advanced datahoarding setup like some of you guys, but I do have a server I put together with used parts that I really want to get backed up onto separate storage. Currently it's at around 15TB used, and I don't expect to exceed 30 for a good amount of time so a 4 disk solution is probably fine (or even 2 for now).

Because the motherboard's from ~2012 I feel like utilizing my network instead of whatever low quality USB solution is on it would be best. So I'm thinking a 2-4 drive enclosure with network connectivity, but that doesn't need to have RAID capabilities.

What's the cheapest option here? Really I'm just trying to get my data cloned onto a set of disks t

Hey all,

According to [this](https://www.thetaxadviser.com/issues/2019/nov/taxation-collectibles.html](https://www.thetaxadviser.com/issues/2019/nov/taxation-collectibles.html),

Losses from selling collectible assets are deductible capital losses that enter the netting process described above provided that the taxpayer held the collectible for investment purposes rather than personal purposes. If the taxpayer was holding the collectible for personal purposes, the loss realized on a sale of the collectible is a nondeductible personal loss. ... For example, in the case of artwork as the collectible, an investor will store, rather than display, the acquired artwork waiting for asse
