Like many of you, I've been around here for a few years. Through WoWS' glorious up and depressing lows. Having supertested the CV-dework, Research Bureau aka NTC 2.0 was my final straw. An absolute shitshow of politics around their games has always been a staple of WarGaming, but that level of gamble-ising my game just went too far for me. Never regretted that day.

Now that's all fine and does neither interest nor affect you. But what should absolutely affect you is the revelation that is Lesta Studio's recently reemerged head manager E: Malik Khatajev duking it out on CIS forums! Like many of you, I just saw Jingles' latest video. In case you haven't and you're interested in WoWS' politics, you really should watch his new video

It starts off with what's the worst part of all the stuff WG has done over the years: The shift towards ever more aggressive monetisation! The normalisation of gambling, lootboxes, microtransactions. Paying for everything. Gameplay is all but a beautiful shell for what is basically a casino in disguise. Marketed at children aged 7+. This is shameful! Shame on you WarGambling!

Even line releases come in lootboxes now! "Free content" is being sold in Early Access. Everything, including TX Premiums in WoWS can effectively be bought for money now.

Because of this development and prior experience, I had decided: "I'm out the same moment, WG pulls their equivalent of WoT's Gold Ammo."

That moment seems closer than I thought, because it looks as if (after Research Bureau as preparation) NTC 2.0 will be exactly that: The Gold Ammo of WoWS. The last straw f

[Before we all start buying "just that one booster"... and the next]

Quick Reminder, PSA and... Warning to anyone else (like me) who didn't fully think this PR even thru right away:

(Currently) No matter whether you spent nothing, 6k, 8k, 10k or (somehow) even 58.9k Doubloons once the event ends 0.9.0 is released:

If you don't have Puerto Rico by that time, all your progress and all your effort will be wiped. For good. Gone. Even 99% won't cut it. Gone! It's obvious... but I didn't consider myself in that situation: When I already got "78% a Puerto Rico". Ofc I'd pay up! Otherwise I'd have nothing.

Unlike any tech-tree grind in WoWS, there's no T7, 8 or 9 you get for *"not qu
