First, what do I mean by losing direction and becoming fractured. Before the whole GME explosion and influx of subscribers, there was pretty much one theme on the subreddit: make huge gains or go down trying. When the GME proposal came up, everyone was pretty much in sync to make huge gains or go down trying. Now the subreddit has been split by a variety of different camps:

- The OG WSB crew

- The fresh first time investors looking to start big

- New lurkers/spectators checking out the show

- Seasoned investors looking to pick up the next big stock

- Corporate accounts/bots looking to astro turf

**You'd think that with more people, WSB would grow as a force, but the problem is

First off, this post isn't talking about the content of the upcoming DLC. On it's own, the DLC so far looks decent for expanding content. This post is instead talking about the DLC system itself

It's baffling to see this sub so easily convinced by a DLC system, praising it as a complete improvement over the past system. It's as if people forgot that the base game is completely barren of features and improvements compared to previous installments. The base game + DLC should not represent ~$40 of value for a $90 price point

Before the "bUt SuFfiCiENt cOnTEnt iS sUbJEcTiVe" comments start popping up, let me quickly link the comprehensive list that r/pokemon agreed upon when cataloging all of

Let's face it. As good as role queue was for the game, dps queue times have skyrocketed. Even in diamond, you can have a 10 min wait time for a comp game that might take around 10 mins itself.

What if we also had an opt in 4-1-1/3-2-1/3-1-2 roll lock (the matchmaker decides the number of roles at the start of the game, just continue to queue as dps/tank/support after checking the opt in)? Granted, not a very clean solution, but one that does address the higher demand for dps heroes.

The fact that it's opt in means that you could still focus on 2-2-2 should you want a consistent grind through ladder ranks. This simply gives an alternative to those that want to avoid a high queue time.

Sure the cosmetics suck and the micro-transactions are garbage, but does it really matter in the end if the core gameplay is still fine? Do you really need to earn cosmetics to reassure yourself that you're having fun with the game? Is your time really wasted by not progressing in some self imposed grind?

This isn't me speaking for the current situation. I think it needs work. But this subreddit has just gone so over-the-top with the sheer amount of hate and negativity, that looking for fun posts becomes a huge pain. Anyone who simply enjoys the core game play gets called a "shill" or an "apologist" who's defending a "multi-billion dollar company."

Honestly, the whole situation can be summarized as: The analysts want variety, the viewers want variety, and yet the Outlaws are forced to play GOATS because it's their best chance at map wins. It's funny how often the casters will stress the importance of map wins in a loss, only to criticize the team composition of what all the top level players and coaches consider to be the best team composition currently.

This isn't the first time that people's judgements have been skewed over being burnt out on GOATS. It only took 2 wins against 2 bottom 5 teams to have the entire community claiming that the Chengdu Hunters were around the 6th best team. Everyone was very clearly ho

I get that people love to up-vote and encourage people who aren't the assholes, but this is ridiculous. Of the approximate top 30 "hot" posts right now, only one is a YTA post. The top posts of the week are also predominantly filled with NTA posts.

This subreddit is at its best when there are varied stories with different judgements to read and learn from. Up-voting an asshole isn't positive reinforcement of bad behavior when the final judgement is still YTA. Make those assholes known!

Let me preface this whole post by stating that I'm not trying to pick sides. I'm simply a fan of the CoD series with some experience with the gaming industry and software development in general. I just wanted to give some perspectives here for both sides to consider (in an effort to reduce toxicity and to promote productivity).

First, to the community:

- Don't ask for communication to subsequently shoot down the messenger: I know a lot of you guys and girls are frustrated with the failed promises. Who wouldn't be. It's pretty fucked up to make promises that fall through on paid purchases. But if you want the devs to communicate more on those promises, yo

Complexity

invalid complaints:

- "pack a punch is too complicated" : With the exception of DOTN (which isn't THAT bad), Black Ops 4 has been pretty good about this. You can't tell me that PAP for IX is any more tougher than Shadows of Evil, Gorod Krovi, Revelations (exact same actually), MOTD, Buried or Zetsubou no Shima (nothing can top this one)

- "the gameplay is too complicated" : The gameplay is the same! Get kills, use the box, pack-a-punch, get perks, survive

- "Easter eggs are too complicated" : aside from the fact that easter eggs are completely OPTIONAL, they're no more complex than the ones in black ops 2/3

- "The story is too complicated" : Black Ops

This is the one issue I have with people suggesting that Reinhardt, Zarya, Winston, Mei, or Symmetra act as Dva counters. If Dva is ever being pressured by any of these heroes, she can simply fly away. Even with a fully charged Zarya/Symm or a freeze from Mei, Dva has the health and shields to get some damage in and fly away.

Of the above characters:

- Zarya has no mobility options

- Reinhardt is limited to horizontal mobility while Dva can easily reach high ground

- Mei has vertical mobility with wall, but Dva can fly out of reach horizontally

- **Symmetra might be able to chase with teleporter, but the D

So recently I've just come back to this community to check it out for the release of black ops 4. For context, I took a pretty sizable break right after zombie chronicles some time back. Imagine my surprise to see the community in basically a shit storm for what is in my opinion a pretty good entry into zombies.

But before I started making judgments, I decided to look into what people were complaining about and found that some complaints were justified and that some were not. Here are my thoughts broken down:

  1. Regarding bugs/glitches - (needs major work, but not that bad): This is the one piece of community feedback I actually agree with. **High rounds and Eas

A little bit of info on me. I'm a player who's coming from Hearthstone after having been burned by balance decisions, lack of new modes, and quick yet expensive expansions. This isn't to say I hated Hearthstone. I spent the time to make legend rank, I've reached multiple 12 win arena runs, and I've maxed out the levels for all 9 heroes. I'm familiar with the concepts of tempo, control, aggro, ... whatever.

All in all, I would say that when it comes to card games, I'm more than a casual player but not as invested as a pro player. So believe me when I say that this game is absolutely harsh on new players, especially so towards casual players that don't play any card games whatso
