I keep beating my head against the wall trying to do a vcarve inlay using Estlcam. Is there a trick to doing this? I have tried to increase the height of my fill piece so it protrudes above the pocket piece (.15in pocket and .2kn fill) but the face of the male is the same size as the opening of the pocket (opening and pocket will be 2in wide for example). I manually adjusted the size of the fill and it worked great for simple shapes but it doesn’t work so well for more elaborate designs (pinch points). Any ideas?

In the market for a new summer brimmed hat. The LTM6 was the gold standard but the Hiker seems nice. Some seem unhappy with the durability with the newer products. Any other brands I should consider before pulling the trigger?
