Exactly what the title says. I've been trying to figure this out for an hour. Can't tell if its a spondee or a trochee. I'm pretty sure tear is stressed, but I don't know about ducts.
I think I have tightness in some part of my hips that I need to do stretches for but I don't know what. It's not a challenge for me to bring my knees up high but if I try to bring them up diagonally (like a Muay Thai kick check), I feel tightness on the inside part of my hips. Any idea what i'm supposed to be targetting or what kinds of stretches I can do?
Edit: typo in the title being -> bring
Hello there,
I've been in the process of trying to get a full assessment for a while. I would just need to book an appointment with my family doctor, voice my concerns, pay the money out of pocket for a private assessment that i've saved up, and then wait. I have a few concerns that have been keeping me thinking instead of acting, so i'd like to voice them here.
First off, i'm worried that the assessment I do won't be able to catch my troubles accurately despite being so expensive. If the assessment ends up being half-assed, I will have spent a lot of money over nothing. (For reference, I am in Ontario, Canada and am looking at the Possibilities Clinic assessment).
Now, one would ask "wou
My father taught me to be cutthroat when explaining, to teach them a lesson. Lose the love inside your voice. Left me confused between the anger and blessings.
Anger issues, accustomed to scuffling with my role models. Repetition of their lessons made me less accustomed to follow.
Peace inside my relationships only lasted until we disagreed Because the chip on my shoulder had me stubbornly enforcing my beliefs.
Hatred manifested internally, you cultivate the poison that you spew. Arguing with myself because the anger was one and the same with my views.
Two faces, the peaceful brother and the stubborn, angry son. Arguments don't mean shit because I feel worse after i'd won.
I feel worse
I struggle with self-discipline and tend to pick up lots of interests easily while dropping them just as quick. I randomly become intruiged in a book, search for the pdf, and read a few chapters only to never come back to it. I invest in learning a new hobby but don't end up sticking to it long term. Its not like i'm quitting because the process is too difficult or tedious, its just that my attention has shifted. So, I need some advice
Toy houses sit in all directions,
i gaze around from this bench
At thoughts that drive by periodically,
every few passing breaths.
Electric lines sew together stars,
draping the sky in a blanket.
Yet the gentle frost of the midnight air
protrudes, through my encampment.
Street lamps dance far into the distance,
their glimmer resemblant of fairies.
Their lunar queen ignites her graceful light
and I, the moth, am left staring.
Regrets and expectations float up
with my releases of once bated breaths.
Veiled within the light of this lulling night,
my worries depart upon this bench.

Cherry blossoms fill the air,
Drifting without a single care,
And every time you walk these streets,
The petals rest upon your silky hair.
Silky gowns of picasso rose
Still life paint as if time has froze.
Thawed out by your light,
A flaming sun.
Flushed pastel blooms
On your cheeks and nose.
Suntanned smile,
Hued in sanguine pink.
The streetlights glow,
And the daylight shrinks, around you.
The prince of ambition,
Sitting unadorned atop his cardboard castle.
Gazing aloft in longing
Towards a kingdom less fragile,
Reaching out,
As if to ask it to caress his hanging fingertips.
With unbreakable purpose,
You climbed in pursuit of this idyllic dream.
Now you see that the palace in the sky,
Is further than it seems.
That no amount of magic dwells
In your lamp with no genie
And that wishes of rags to riches
May tear rags apart at their seams
Fissures chipping the shoulders
Of the prince's regal robes.
Fictitious speeches touted in truth;
Blemishes of hope.
With no castle, no princess, and no genie in a lamp.
The prince's dreams transcend no further than
So, as the title implies, i have a really tough time just changing my aproach when I feel like i've really failed at something. I can generally be pretty tenacious/hard-working and patient so I don't think that its me giving up too easily. When things don't turn out how I expected and i've run out of options to make something go in the general direction that I want, it feels really bad.
After I go through this, I usually start by feeling sad or disappointed in myself followed by a fair bit of crying and sorrow. I might try a last ditch effort or two to regain composure but if it was bad enough to push me this far, it likely doesn't work out. After that theres usually a period of feeling ja
