I have a '99 cali smog 4wd automatic (5spd swapped) that I recently had some error codes thrown due to a failed Air/Fuel sensor (denso 231-9002).

Since replacing the sensor, I have had no issues. Power returned, fuel economy went back up.

Over the past two tanks of fuel I've noticed a sluggishness up hills (hills I have been able to cruise up in 4th gear while maintaining speed/rpm's I now lose rpm's and need to downshift) and decreasing fuel economy. I shot from 11.5ish back right up to just over 17 with mixed driving, the past two tanks wer 16.25 and 15.8 average, driving the same route at the same speeds.

I plugged my obd2 reader back in, and I'm seeing that my new a/f sensor/upstrea

Hey, does anyone out there, specifically with a '99 cali smog automatic 4runner have a code reader that can plot the air/fuel and 02 sensor voltage readings?

I recently had a series of codes (and extremely poor running condition) that seemed to indicate that the upstream air/fuel sensor was failed.

I replaced it with a new Denso p/n 234-9002 a/f sensor this morning. It is running significantly better, with no codes related to the emissions/fuel systems. However, I am seeing some atypical readings from both the new a/f sensor and the 02 sensor, and am wondering of my 02 sensor is also in need of replacement.

My 4runner had:

-P0125 insufficient coolant temp for closed loop fuel control

I have a '99 sr5 cali smog 4runner (5spd swapped!). I got a full tank of fuel the day before yesterday. Driving home it started idling very rough/surging at stop lights. After getting home, I did a walk-around and check over, and saw my tailpipe, which is normally bare metal, was completely covered in black soot. At first I thought it was burning oil, however, the soot and the exhaust odor do not smell of burning oil, and the smoke is dark black, no blue-ish hue to it. So it appears it is running Extremely rich.

I plugged in my code reader to check the CEL codes. In addition to the shift solenoid and trans.temp sensor codes, it was throwing a "P1133 air/fuel sensor circuit malfunction

Anyone with a 3rd gen running pizza cutters? I'm currently running 285/75-16 tires, but I'm looking at maybe stepping back to a 235/85-16 to keep roughly the same diameter, but go narrower and drop some unsprung mass.

I've never run a tire that narrow on my 3rd gen or any other (suv/truck) vehicle that I've owned. I'm just asking for any anecdotal experiences you might have running tall/narrow tires.

So, Italy quarantined a big chunk of their population in the north a few days ago. Last night they announced they were quarantining the rest of the country. Italy aplarently has quite a large population of elderly, and ia being hit hard by the cv-19 as a result. Anyone on Vicenza able to comment?

My phone force updated last night and updated to android version 9. Any way to roll this back? I made the mistake of buying the S8 active over the S8, assuming that I would be able to root this phone like you can the regular s8.

Most annoyingly is the introduction of the chatbots into the messaging app. There is apparently no way to disable it.

Anyone have a goliath V2? I'm looking for a compact 1x123 thrower, this seems to fit the bill.

And even more niche, does anyome have the goliath v2 modded by vihnguyen54 with vn2 driver? Does it still work with lithium primaries, or is it strictly a rcr123a only light?

Bought another cheap LED headlamp from amazon. This is the Sunpie branded version, which is priced right around $60. I bought a used lamp for $49 amd shipping. No pics of the packaging, it did come with the wiring harness for the PWM and different plug options.

This lamp was poorly sealed. Perhaps the person who returned it tried to bake it open? I was able to pry the front lens and the black plastic bezel out of the body without any heat. There was some sort of sealant, but it yielded easily. The black plastic liner was not held in by anything other than the pressure of the frontens, however, with the outer edge of the lens being held down to the body by the retaining bezel of whatev

I was driving home from the gym about 2 hours ago, when I started to hear a faint metallic popping sound when applying the brakes. After about 3 miles, it started to make more noise, louder, to the point I ended up pulling over. I crawled underneath to check things over. I could not identify the source/cause.

The noises stopped being heard/felt below 25mph. They did not begin immediately with the brakes being pressed, but on the drive home (about 9 miles after where I stopped to check things over) even without pressing the brakes they randomly started back up again. They were rotational, if that makes any sense. Steering and bumps did not seem to start/stop the noises. Turning the wh

What sort of power supply do you use to power an LED or a multi LED array for testing? Is there anything entry level/budget friendly that can drive a single LED (nominal 3-4v) at a time up to multiple amps? Or provide similar drive currents with different (higher) forward voltage emitters, or small arrays (2s/2p, 3s/3p, or 6Vf and/or 12Vf LEDs)? I've done some LED swaps in a few lights, but never gone further than that.

And for those who have a lux meter, do you have any recommendations? I see some that have an ISO certificate with them, and a lot that don't. Again, looking for some input on a budget friendly model to use to measure intensity through dofferent optics.

Finally getting my coastal offroad bumper together, I cut the front bumper plates off completely, and now need to reinforce/cap the open frame rails.

I was going to disconnect the battery entirely, and keep my grounding clam as close as possible to where Im working. Is that sufficient protection for the ECU and other electronics in the vehicle?
