I have a regional coming up in a week or so and I just cannot for the life of me think of what deck to play, whether that be for fun or competitively.

I have the following cores(some might be missing a card or two):

Crusadia

Mermails

Salads

Cyber Dragons

Dinosaurs

Pendulums(Endymion/Magicians)

Zombies

BA

Sky Striker

True Draco

SPYRAL

Altergeist

Prank-Kids

Mekk-Knights

Shaddolls

Subterrors

Impcantation Shinobirds

Half cores:

Invoked

Trickstar

ABC

Paleo

On top of this I have literally every staple card at the moment other than phantazmei and the secrets/ultras from the most recent sets that are seeing play.

I'm torn between what one I should play. Altergeist seems to fare better when forced second but Guru just closes out games so much easier I find, plus in the current meta they can play TCBOO which is a total blow out. On the other hand Geist can play secret village and shit all over striker :c All in all I've figured that both decks can play the same skeleton:

3x Solemn Strike

3x Solemn Judgement

1x Solemn Warning

3x Pot of Extravagance

2x Pot of Duality

3x Ash

3x Imperm

3x Compulse/Crackdown

What deck is the better option in the current meta?

Locals near Skipton?

Question/Request

Moving down in a week or two. I thought there was one in Skipton itself but after viewing flats when I went to find it, it was found to be closed down.

Is there anywhere close by to play games? By close by I mean an hours drive or train away?

Right so I was playing this at 60 cards but then I felt like I would not be able to side properly. So I basically cut everything back as much as I could so I could have the massive combo potential while I can cut the frilly bits for side deck cards.

The deck is focused around the Servant of Endymion and Guardragon package. In my bid to turbo out the Servant to 3 counters I'm playing two "engines", Zefra and Pendulum Magicians. Because most of my cards activate and resolve with no monsters on field I could play the Gamma package along with Called. In theory I should never be hit with a turn ending handtrap like Droll, or Ogre on Electrumite because I should always have somethi

Ultimately gameplan is to go first, end on board of Beatrice + 2 fog blades + Orcustrated Climax which isn't amazing by most meta standards but it's better than just plain ol' Beatrice pass that Burning Abyss has going for it. It's really consistent with various ways of starting the "combo" but I feel like what I've got here is at least a good skeleton for an idea of what I want to use once DANE is released.

Monsters[37]

1x Cir

1x Graff

2x Libic

1x Alich

1x Draghig

1x Cagna

1x Calcab

1x Rubic

3x Farfa

3x Scarm

1x Barbar

Playing as many names as possible and double libic so we can use it's effect to play through disruption going 2nd. Scar

So with Cherubini(allegedly) coming out, alongside Orcusts getting their xyz I'm seriously looking at combining PK Fire with a small Orcust engine to end on a board of Rusty, Beatrice and Babel on field, using Beatrice in standby to send cymbal skeleton to reborn Sheorcust(the xyz) at any point so I can pop a card with Rusty and send one with Sheorcust. Obviously if the Rank up spell somehow makes it through the banlist un hit then I will use it to make VFD.

Anyone else got a decklist or some spicy ideas for the deck going forward? With snow dead and buried I don't like the Hydralander Sekka build anymore, it's just too unreliable.

Yesterday was Cumbernauld Regional in Scotland, probably the biggest one we'll have this year at 84 people. I came 2nd losing one match only. Here is my deck list and explanations for my ratios/card choices. The main rationale behind most of my card choices is that I wanted cards with dual purpose, that are useful going 1st or 2nd. I picked the deck because it consistently makes a board of Gameciel, Crystal Wing and an additional negate going 1st (Gameciel is a game ender on it's own) and it has a really good going 2nd match up versus Salamangreats provided they don't open Sanctum.

Monsters (26)

Crusadia Maximus x 3

Usually my side decks are handtraps I can switch out, counters to the best deck and backrow removal.

Because of the banlist we can't say with a certainty what the best decks will be, and so I'm at a double loss because I also don't know if I can play spells/traps and side out Sekka every 2nd game.

What are you guys using in your Sekka BA side?

DISCLAIMER: This is supposed to be a fun topic to provoke discussion.

There are certain card types that just have huge weaknesses or aren't powerful enough on their own to warrant use over another type with the same statlines/attributes/archetype/whatever, or have had their mechanic so powercreeped they look bad. I'm going to go through each type of card and change their mechanic or use in a way that lets them be more useful in modern yugioh.

Starting with normal monsters. Normal monsters have seen a little resurgance since links with certain powerful links requiring normal monsters. They are also used as part of engines that require a "garnet"(Psy-Frames, Advan

I've been tinkering with the TK Dino deck thats popped up tops now and again. I can't get around a few things in this list that make no sense to me

https://i.redd.it/ckltaz230wf11.png

1: Why is there so many water TKs? I think 1 is all that is needed and even 2 at a push is ok, but why all 3?

2: I've already cut down to one Overtex and swapped out for an Ash but someone explain why I should run a brick over another handtrap?

3: Why 2 Petit? Is one not enough? Is there a combo that involves 2? Same with the water TK?

4: Jurrac Aeolo but no Chanbara? Ok I get it you can make Trish and go into the Rank 9 that way but I seem to recall a better way to do that combo.

5: With so many non-dino

I have been playing Sekka's Light BA since Sekka came out and just played it as normal BA using handtraps as my main disruption. This was working fine and was a nice casual deck for me to play until Thomas Rose had to go and win the very UK Nats I was attending with some spicy techs. My favourite being Gallis and Rescue Cat(Elephun is included but I don't really use it that often). Then not long after Ed Apecion(butchered his name) played BA at NAWCQ and had another spicy engine with Fabled Soulkius and Destiny Hero - Mali that let him search out BLS and/or make Beatrice with 2 level 6s allowing you to send a card in the turn she is summoned. I wanted to combine these tech choices in my own

I have some really nice rogue but strong decks I like to play and test myself against random stuff online but ygopro is notorious for having the most mongo players around. The straw that broke the camels back is a nurse burn player who legit had to stop and reach each burning abyss card I played or activated and ragequitted once I had outed his shitty burn.

I just need someone who can regularly(not daily) play some duels against me using anything they like as long as they can play it reasonably fast and well.
