i took off my cpu cooler to replace my thermal paste but now i can’t get the cooler back on. the screws are just going round and round and not attaching. ive tried applying a little bit of pressure as they have springs but terrified of crushing the cpu. no idea what to do. please help!

im not sure what cooler it is i think its some random amazon one but its the sort of vertical heatsink type where the fans hook on either side

Hellooo, me and my partner will be landing in Belfast on the 13th for a night. I haven’t left England for about 15 years so naturally I’m a little nervous however obviously at the moment there is a lot going on in the news about NI. I know it’s just a small minority but I’m still a bit anxious about whether we will be safe. We will be going for a concert so getting back to our hotel quite late and stuff. I guess I just need a little reassuring that we’ll be completely fine lol. We were recommended to stay in the Cathedral Quarter and told it would be safest there.

I’m having a really frustrating time with my broadband this month. At the beginning of the month it was going down every five minutes and apparently they sent out an engineer to fix a fault on the line. Yesterday it happened again and I was told it’ll be fixed in 72 hours. Still doing it today, but I don’t understand how they can quote me a fix within 72 hours when tomorrow is the weekend and a bank holiday? We’ve only got the part fibre if that matters for how long a fix could take. Got a lot of work I need to do that I haven’t been able to get done the last two days. Been looking at the 5G routers instead but don’t know how to find out if my area is in a good spot for it with whatever bran

I've been using The Ordinary Retinal 0.2% Emulsion daily for a couple of months now and just ran out so was about to order a new tube but then noticed The Inkey List have their own 0.2% retinal. Has anyone tried either of these products and have a preference? I haven't had any negative side effects from The Ordinary retinal but I was hoping for better results as I am still very spotty around my chin and jaw, and I haven't had any improvement in the redness of my skin and am beginning to think I am just red lol, so was wondering do I try the Inkey list retinal instead and see how it goes, but don't know if the additional ingredients in this one is worth it if the Ordinary one is better?

i’m really upset at the moment because i feel like i keep having the same argument with my bf because there’s always the same girl sending literally over 100 flirty messages a day and always calls him cutie but he insists she’s being innocent and “calls everyone cutie” and he won’t understand i don’t care who she calls cute he has a girlfriend it isn’t appropriate. and she knows i exist bc i’m in the background of his headset half the time bc we game in the same room with our desks beside each other.

so we live in a house where the silicone around the bath had came away from the tiling (before we moved in) and there was almost a cm gap between the tiles and the bath. we pestered the estate agents for this to be repaired but landlord wasn’t doing anything. it had caused severe black mould and damp in the wall and into the room on the same wall and my husband who has never had asthma before started developing breathing difficulties at night and allergy symptoms since moving in. we figured probably the black mould and told the estate agents who basically said at this point (unfortunately not in writing) although it isn’t your job you are in your right to fix it yourself.

So we’re English and French and have wanted to see Breaking Benjamin forever. All the tickets sold out apart from Belfast so we bought them without thinking. Then our friends who are from Belfast said do what you can to sell them because it isn’t a good idea for us to go to Belfast around the 12th/13th. I assumed they were exaggerating but they insisted it would not be safe. Ticketmaster do not offer refunds so we are going. We’ll be fine right? It’s my first time planning Science week for my school and I keep getting overwhelmed every time I try to start. Other schools in the trust are taking it very seriously, inviting STEM ambassadors, having assemblies, paid for people to come in and do workshops with the kids, etc. My subject budget is barely 3 figures so I can’t afford the stuff they’re doing, and can’t find a decent STEM ambassador in the area (I’ve likely left it too late). I’ve never done this before so have no idea what to do! What do your schools usually do, if anything??

My school does parents evening until 7pm over two days, my main issue is getting home past 7 absolutely exhausted and ravenous but no energy for cooking so I usually end up ordering takeaway which makes me feel rubbish the next day too. I want to get my partner a nice kitchen knife but all of the sites I’m getting recommended on google have pretty poor reviews on trustpilot. He really liked the look of viking look knives, and liked the look of ones on Northern Knife but trustpilot said they’re just aliexpress knives. Does anyone know any sorta impressive looking knives but on a bit of a budget? That are actually worth buying too… I’m not sure if I’ll get anything for around £30 but thought I’d ask anyway incase, especially with all the sales on at the moment. Thank you!

2 days ago my cat started hissing and yowling at what seemed to be nothing. I put it down initially to the fireworks as he was hiding and hissing while they were going off and he hadn’t been hissing during the day. But today he’s starting hissing, growling and yowling during the daytime too. Aside from this he seems completely normal, cuddly and eating as normal, going outside like normal, etc.
