I try to donate $50-$100 a month to open source software as I use it so much.

In the past I've donated to:

  • Keepass
  • Wikipedia
  • Firefox
  • GNOME
  • Latexila (very nice LaTeX editor I've combined with R and knittR for dynamic reports)

However I'm sure there are a bunch of key projects that probably get ignored because they don't operate in the foreground.

What open source projects do you donate to?

RDP is great, but it lacks support for TLS1.1/1.2

As of PCIDSSv3.1 TLS1.0 is not allowed to be used as a security control. If you disable TLS1.0 in SCHANNEL you can break your ability to use RDP.

Has anyone heard any updates from Microsoft about TLS1.1 and TLS1.2 support with RDP on windows?

Tried to buy a Travel Ten myBus 3 from Chatswood 7/11 and i was told that the tickets are discontinued and no longer for sale.

I buy the Travel Ten tickets because its $0.74 cheaper per trip for occasional travel (less than 8 trips in a week).

TravelTen myBus 3 are $3.76 per trip

Opal 3 sections is $4.50

Has anyone else heard anything this?

I just very recently realized my lethargic nature of the past few months was due to stress. That is after running blood sugar, thyroid, sleep, and food analysis, realizing that all that was left was mental. Relaxing some more and working on my stress has resulted in me having much more energy.

In what ways does your body/emotions try to communicate with you that should be obvious but you did not notice for a long time?

Some days I'm productive, others not, I've started optimizing sleep and exercising, eating better, but the days I am and am not productive are still arbitrary.

Any personal data miners/diabetics out there noticed a link between blood glucose and productivity?

Is it worth starting measurements to help level out and optimize my levels to be more productive?

Im in the process of designing a UV laser resin printer but ive noticed a trend.

Every DLP projector resin printer ive seen has always raised the printing surface and object upside down out of the bath into the air. Example: Upside down print

Why? What is the advantage over lowing a platform into the liquid with light projected onto the surface from above.

Example: Right side up print

Surely retracting the liquid would cause many technical problems, for example lowering the liquid levels therefor reducing height accuracy, especially in large prints. If they lowered the object into the liquid you would only be concerned w
