What do y'all do late at night? I live in a pretty small town, and my friends and I can't think of ANYTHING to do.

Hey Jeepit, a friend's KJ is stuck in 4wd, feels like 4h or part time (wouldn't know how part time feels, since I don't own a kj, so I'm not discounting it, but it feels a lot like 4h). The T-case lever goes though the full range, the indicator lights line up with the lever, but the car doesn't drive right. What the fuck happened?
I am currently engaged in a heated discussion (read: argument) with a few of my friends, because I believe that my jeep, like all cars, boats, and planes, needs a female name, while they believe (with good reason) that jeeps are too masculine for feminine names.
So my question is this: should my jeep have a female name, and if so, what would a good one be? The only names my friends and I have come up with are Helga and Daisy (and a third, some play on flowers and yellow, the color of my jeep, but I've already wiped that one from memory).
I've noticed that between the region creation screen and the embark screen, as well as between the embark screen and the embark overview (the overall map from inside fortress mode), there's a lack of agreement. For example, the embark map looks nothing like the region creation map, and the embark overview map seems to go several tiles beyond where you can interact. What's with this? I'm assuming it's not a bug, since it's always been present, and is rather obvious, but does anyone have a good explanation?
Edit the first: just started a new world, and quite by accident, noticed that I can look to the edge of the embark overview until I unpause. Might be a bug, will be genning a few new w
As the title suggests, I'd like to do a multi-day sailing trip in the Puget Sound area, and I have a few questions:
-
How should I go about finding a boat? I can't really find places that rent out large-ish sailboats for multiple days.
-
What kind of licensing, etc. would I need?
-
Why can't I remember the rest of my questions? I guess that's what the edit feature is for...
After failing miserably at the last evaluation course for search and rescue, I've decided to retire my gimpy, weak petzl headlamp, and am in the market for a new light. (And by retire I mean carry in my pocket every day, just not to SAR stuff.)
So, I was thinking, what I'm looking for is probably the holy grail of headlamps, and probably standard issue for cavers. What I absolutely need is:
- Good battery life
- Two modes, at a minimum: low and dim, and long and BRIGHT.
- Water-resistant: This headlamp will get damp, at the very least.
What I would really like, but am willing to sacrifice on:
-
Waterproof/mudproof: I live in the PNW, we've got rain like brits have tea.
-
Shockproof: I'm a
I'm a total newbie when it comes to slacklining, but a friend is more into the sport, and I realized that I could string a line between two trees in my yard.
So, my question is, what would we need to set it up?
I'm looking to buy a pair of climbing shoes, but finding ones in my size is extremely difficult. I wear size 11 shoes, and I can't find any cheap shoes in my size on amazon.... I didn't think I had big feet, do I? Or am I just being mentally challenged/not looking right?
This story begins with me. A 17 year old car noob who got a 1985 Chevrolet G-20 van, Automatic V8, through an online contest.
This story ends with my van. Before you ask, yes, it is a white, almost windowless van. The main issue I have right now is a sort of "clunk" which I believe is coming from the transmission.
The infamous clunk occurs to a lesser extent when accelerating rapidly, but is the worst when going up hills, and is accompanied by a massive power loss, sometimes pulsing, although it's difficult to tell if the power pulsing corresponds with the clunking, because by that point in time, I'm in "Oh shit, I'm about to stop, accelerator to the floor, on this hill which I used to be
I'm looking to buy one of their cold-water baselayers, but they a) didn't respond to my email, and b) the check-out process is downright sketchy. Has anyone bought anything from them recently?
Let me preface this by saying I'm 17. In no way am I saying that I'm old, or even mature. In fact, let me be very clear and point out that I'm one of the least mature people I know. Including people younger than myself. So, with that settled, onto the story.
As I was browsing Youtube, I came across the whole "Star Wars Clone Wars" animated crap, and I realized that kids growing up with an animated tv series like that will never respect Star Wars for what it is. For example, in a lego short of Jango's death, Mace Windu WINKS at Boba after casually lopping Jango's head off. That was, quite possibly, the most emotional moment of the new movies, and they KILLED IT! IT WILL NEVER BE THE SA
